I have such love and gratitude for soul agenda yoga and Pilates studio in Balmain. Soul Agenda host yoga retreats; if you are feeling burnt out, experiencing a challenging time or simply want to reconnect with yourself and like minded others, i highly recommend soul agendas retreats, they are simply nourishing, cleansing and like a spring clean for the soul. And did I mention the food? Alex, the retreats private chef 🧑🍳 cooks nourishing, wholesome and yummo food 🤤 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Your life is the tribe you choose, soul agenda is a community of beautiful humans who as a collective are making the world 🌍 a better place.
They also host events most weekends for anyone to attend; breath work, ice baths, meditation, yin and pin, and chant and chai once a month, so many healing events 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Yoga and pilates; it is the most beautiful yoga studio, I always focused on fast heavy weight lifting and CrossFit but I made a switch and my body and soul are thanking me for it.
Nell, Christina, Corinne, Marc and and all the teachers are such talented and passionate teachers, their classes are nourishing, I highly recommend all the classes and Nells Pilates classes add a little bit of disco 💃🏼 lights to your day, she will make you work hard and have fun at the same time , if you think yoga is slow and boring, the teachers at Soul will change...
Read moreI used to love this studio, but since the second lockdown happened they can't seem to attract or retain good instructors. Today, during a 'power' class, the instructor spent 30 minutes doing 'cobra' poses. I left 30 minutes into the class because it felt like a beginners class. Also, I noticed the instructor was teaching with notes from her open notebook on the floor rather than teaching from her heart. Additionally, a 'power' class should feel challenging and not be suitable for beginners- this class today felt like yoga 101.
I went to another class a week prior where the instructor was talking about enlightenment. I liked where she was going with her thought pattern, but she said, 'enlightenment can only truly be achieved when you're dead, so no one will ever become enlightened.' Not very inspiring, and rather morbid. Also, this particular yoga instructor loves teaching 'Pyramid pose' which is basically standing. Every time I went to one of her classes, she focuses on 'Pyramid pose' and it feels like a waste of time.
As this studio only employs one quality instructor, who only teaches on Sundays, I cannot give this studio more than two stars. Originally, I gave this studio five stars, but after multiple bad experiences, I can't give it more than two. Once my 10-pack is finished, I won't...
Read moreI've been coming to this yoga studio for a while now, and I’m absolutely obsessed! The ambience is beautiful, with stunning interior design that instantly creates a sense of calm and relaxation. Every teacher here is amazing—knowledgeable, supportive, and deeply attuned to the needs of their students.
I started attending classes while I was pregnant, and the prenatal sessions were incredibly helpful. Now, as a mum of a five-month-old, I love the Mums & Bubs classes, which offer a gentle, nurturing space to practice while connecting with other mums and I’m also a regular at the Mellow Flow, which is perfect for some much-needed 'me time. The classes always have the most welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
Nell has created something truly special here—a magical environment that fosters both great energy and a strong sense of community. I can’t recommend this...
