Great little asset in Sydney, my family and I come here every year in February for the Cystic Fibrosis charity fun run and it's a great location for the event.
It is a shame though that many of the locals on their morning walk/jog/cycle can't seem to share it with us this one day a year. With hundreds of people participating, the track is quite packed with not much room to budge for anyone. And so, much of the local population deem it appropriate to shout obscene things at small children, yelling at them to get out of the way, even pushing and shoving, shoulder charging young women out of the way. One cyclist ploughed right into a family at shocking speed. We're talking about an event where families of people with a life-threatening disorder are walking to raise money for charity. The thing is that rich people don't need to workout. But they do because their lives are so perfect they have to inflict their own pain on like themselves. And then they do and like make everyone else feel like sad too. But then they cycle back to their perfect 10 million dollar homes and order gozlemes on uber eats. They think they can eat all that cheese because they just worked out? But they don't need all that cheese. In a way they're really...
Read moreThe inly possible downside is that it can get congested in a nice day. But that is the price you pay for a great walk. There are plenty of spots to start and stop with plenty of easy street parking. There are lots of drinking fountains and importantly a range of coffee and cafe stops to choose from. Be aware of others, especially at narrower parts where you may encounter runners and riders. Remember “Keep Left” and don’t walk 3 or 4 abreast. Plenty of great photo and selfie opportunities. 7km is quite a long walk so maybe let the kids scoot. There are lots of playgrounds to stop at if needed. If you are slightly older bloke there are a range of exercise equipment locations to add a little extra...
