Sushia Birkenhead Point — Restaurant in Sydney

The food was OK, the service was quick enough. I did request the sushi be cut into 3, it was a standard request I have asked hundreds of Sushi shops in the past. I was surprised by the staff, I asked two of them, they both said company policy and no they can't cut the sushi. I don't know if it's laziness or that the staff can't be trusted with sharp knives, but all the same it seemed to disappointing for me. I then asked for the boss or manager and was told that their was no boss or manager, their at the time. I makes me think that the food is cooked in the morning by competent people and sold threw out the by the dumdum's who are qualified to use anything sharp. We went to get food from here today as the light was on and they had some end of day clearance items ( it was before 5 as well). We were standing there for a couple of minutes deciding if we wanted it and then a few more people came up. The workers were right there and didn't say " sorry we are closed" it was only when my partner went up to order that they said something!
