I'd have given it five stars but this oval has become quite dangerous. In addition to a discus throwing range, councillors have authorised a shotput practise site situated between the BBQ area and the car park. At the moment there's no protection around it, and no warning. One recent evening a girl carelessly throwing shotput nearly hit my dog. Council is transforming what used to be a low key jogging and team sports oval into a fully fledged athletics space. It's popular, and that's great, but I think they are cramming too much into a small space. In particular, sports like discus and shotput really need to take place in fully netted areas so that people don't accidentally stray into the path of lethal weapons. Do be careful if you're walking from the amenities block to your car. I've told Council my concerns and I'm waiting to see what kind of practical response they...

The Park itself is a great facility. Beautiful location by the water, large area, clean, good facilities ( hospitality area, clean and decent size toilets) Good for athletic events. The downside is the access and the dog owner locals. There are many narrow and one way streets that access to the Park by vehicle is a real real challenge. The dog owners! Oh so mindless. I attended a Sports Meet of a school where Primary School children were running around, in competition events and the usual run around and there these dog owners (quite a few of them) letting their dogs off the leash and throwing balls. It is not only a council thing but a common-sense thing to have dogs on a leash in situations where children are gathered. On any other time it may be permitted, but at...

Grate park very nice seenery. Enough clear space for group sports and training individuals with out bothering each other. Reasonbly safe for children (adults supervision needed all the time).good for walking your dogs just be aware if children are around. Enough shade and sits around to relaxe.cleane toilets and drinking water are provided.parking are is available however be aware there are puddles and mud every where so be prepared to get your shoes dirty when you getting...

Newly constructed park with many play equipment for children of all age. Fenced play area which is a plus. Has a sand pit, trampolines and zipline too. The views are amazing as it connects to Bay run. Were attacked by flies though at sunset time. Plenty of parking nearby and park has bbq facilities too

Parking can be hard on the weekend, but if you are happy to park near the neighbourhood, there is plenty of street parking there. There are many groups of people/kids playing ball/soccer/rugby during weekends. If you keep walking up the hill, it will take you to a nice path to walk/run.
