This is by far the best ferry destination from Circular quay. Watsons bay is an extremely beautiful location, excellent for picnic, walks, access to the beach and breathtaking views from the cliff. We generally walk through the left side of the cliff as it's quite long and more beautiful but also took the right side of the walk and found it not pretty ok. This time we headed to Hornsby lighthouse since the trail along the cliff is quite picturesque. It's about 2km from the base and a trail well worth it. You pass along beautiful houses and two beaches before you reach the Hornsby lighthouse. The lighthouse is still under renovation but the walk and lookout point en route is worth the trip. Don't forget to take plenty of water and snacks to nibble on your way. One of the beaches has a store if you like to buy refreshments. Overall a day trip...
Read moreThe Watsons Bay area is one of the better scenic sights that I've been to in the short time that I was at Sydney. We took an Uber from the hotel up towards Hornby Lighthouse, and walked all through the nature park, towards this ferry terminal to ride it back to Circular Quay. There's a number of restaurants, parks, beaches, and tourist attractions in the area, which makes for a good weekend activity whether you're a couple or a family. Chill vibes for sure.
Ferry comes every 30 minutes, and you only need your Opal card or Credit...

What a bloody disgrace that those disabled and feeble people have to somehow climb or be pushed up a number of steps with absolutely no assistance from the crew of the vessel. Get your act together Sydney Ferries! This is an absolute disgrace in this...
