OUT2 Rafting Zell am See — Attraction in Zell am See

The trip was very nice with a joyful and professional team. During rafting we did many fun exercises where we went in and out of the boat. Unfortunately, during one of these playful activities we got the task to work the boat as a team without support, it went quite wrong. Our team did not work together well, all different people with different attitudes so the boat flipped over and everyone except one person fell out the boat. We just arrived at a part in the river with rocks and my back smashed hard against one of them. At first the pain was bearable so I went on till the end. During the day and days after my back was swollen up so badly, black and blue from the front to the back, and i could hardly walk. I’m at day 4 now and still not recovered. Rafting is of course not without danger, our instructor explained what to do in emergency situations, also how and where to swim. But, what was missing was the team-part. Because we did not practice on ground how to paddle or work together in the boat before going in the water, when faced with a challenge, we flipped over. In the future, it would be a good idea to have some sort of small team-building exercise and to practice paddling in rhythm before going on the river. And tell people to listen to the instructor, who was very nice, and put down their ego’s. So yes this trip is fun and challenging but accidents can happen so it’s not...

The rafting itself was okay, but the organization was really poor. Afterward, we were told to remove all wet clothes before getting in the car, but no one warned us about this in advance. If you weren’t wearing anything underneath, you’d be stuck nearly naked.

We also had to wait a long time because they made everyone return to the center at once, even though we didn’t come together. Those guys are awesome! Doesn't matter if you are a happy family or a group of lads on holiday, they make sure you're having a nice trip. As soon as you walk in, they make you feel welcome by being interested and happy to go on a trip. They give you safety instructions and answer any question, moreover they adjust to the group in front of them. We were with a couple of guys from 25 jrs old and they went on a more thrilling kinda tour, the family's had a blast with other activities in between.
