Museum Vogtturm — Attraction in Zell am See

I was very disappointed today, on 23/12/2022. According to the official information the museum should have started working at 14 o’clock. I came at 14:03. There was some light inside but nobody in the lobby and the door was closed. I was waiting till 14:10, knocking at the door from time to time. Nobody opened. Then I left at 14:10 and returned after 15 o’clock. The door was closed and there was a table « I’ll be right back » or something like that without indication of time of course. Given that tomorrow the museum will be closed as well as on Sunday due to the Christmas holidays I lost my only chance...

Superb museum in the centre of Zell am See. Staff super friendly and offered a good introduction to the museum personally in English. The museum looks like it has been recently renovated with lots of interactive displays giving the history of the town up to the present day. The temporary Porsche Design exhibition was also excellent. Admission was included in our Sommerpass issued by the hotel but well worth the admission...

The Vogtturm (formerly Kastner Tower ) is located in the Fuscher or Thurnhaus in Zell am See on the corner of the square to the Dreifaltigkeitsgasse and the Turmplatzl .
