Excellent museum! Our guide Debra was very knowledgeable and well spoken. She was able to answer all of our questions. We highly recommend seeing the interesting artifacts and treasure. The presentation is well done...just enough. You can look through a large glass window and see a working lab for the cleaning of the found artifacts. Set aside an half to a full hour to see this important collection of artifacts, beautiful treasure, and the telling of the island's historic background. The museum is a short walk to the public beach, the path is next to the...

We loved our tour with the curator. He was so knowledgeable about my curiosity about archeology and how their process works. The behind the scenes portion was so worth it. He also showed us the classroom they have and the amazing work they’re doing with local kids to show them what archeology is about and how awesome it is. I really appreciate the work they’re doing and how they’re keeping all of the artifacts...

Well worth the price of admission. They do offer guided tours when they have staff. If you want a great history of the Bahamas this is the place. Make sure you buy their book, it has lots of details that they just don't have room for in the museum. Staff was great. Reasonably priced. Don't visit Freeport without...

This is an excellent museum, focused on the maritime history of the Bahamas! It is well laid out, well lit, and super informative. They have some very cool pieces of sunken treasure from the 1656 Maravillas shipwreck (an old Spanish treasure galleon). Highly recommended!

Beautiful and informative museum. It's small but highly informative of Bahama's history. A must-see stop in the Lucaya shopping hub.
