We are here for dinner inside and the service was great. Everyone was friendly and our server really made sure we were taken care of. The surf and turf I got veggies and a Greek salad instead of potatoes. The lobster was over cooked but the steak was on point. The chicken pasta was a great dish as well but would prefer no onions or peppers with a white sauce. Will certainly be back to try more of the menu.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring with my kids while hubby was at the port fueling his boat. We ordered Zorba platter for $19 and my boys loved it! Also went to the cafe which was connected to the restaurant to order boba tea! Delicious!

Because this restaurant has Greek origins and influence, I wasn’t too sure about the flavours of the authentic Bahamian food that I wanted to try.

At the suggestion of my Mum, we decided to go to Zorbas for a midweek hot breakfast (not prepared by us, lol)

So we came by and parked in the designated parking lot in the Port Lucaya Marketplace. Walked up to Zorbas and it was nice and quiet on the outside patio. Great, because covid19.

The inside had a more tables filled with patrons. We decided to stick with sitting on the patio.

The Deets: I have to say, I wish that I had known the name of the wonderful woman that was helping us. She was polite, kind, friendly and very helpful with menu details and substitutions. Bc sometimes people get annoyed if you ask too many questions (almost as if that’s not what they are there to do? Lol) However, from bringing our beverages to assisting us, she was one of the most pleasant people that I have experienced.

Food: We ordered the illustrious Stew Fish with grits and Johnny Cake (yes, both. Don’t be a judge Judy, lol) and EVERYTHING was stupendous! The flavours were on point! The food came out quickly and piping hot.

They also bring you a little dish with limes and peppers to add to your Stew Fish. Mannnnnnn, that was some of the best I have ever tasted. I was pleasantly surprised how amazing it was. They give you the option of yellow or white grits (get the yellow) and the Johnny Cake is moist and not dry like a brick, like I’ve seen at other places. This food was...

Our food safe haven 😍😍!! My husband and I vacationed to Freeport this past week and this is literally where we ate 90% of the time. I’m a native to the island so I’ve had the food before but my husband isn’t and hasn’t. He’s very picky about food and the way it’s prepared etc and the fact that he actually asked me to go back is very telling! The staff is wonderful and we were treated kindly and respectfully every time we were there. Stanya was our waitress when we first went to eat and man is she FABULOUS!! Such a sweet and kind soul, she has an amazing smile and takes care of you like her own. Such a beautiful lady and I highly recommend Zorbas promoting her and or giving her a raise because she deserves it ❀. Food wise, everything was still as I remembered it 3 years ago, fresh and tasty!! Ellie (the chef) knows how to throw 👏 down 👏. She also deserves a promotion and raise 😊. If you’re looking for a good place to eat while on vacay, hit up Zorbas! They will totally treat you well and the food will be of a great quality đŸ„°. My husband and I are what you would consider clean eaters and this was the cleanest food we could find while on vacation and it made us feel way better than the fast food we had once or twice. 12/10, highly...

Disappointed and Saddened

It saddens me to write this, but I feel it’s important to share our experience. My family and I went to this establishment for dinner and arrived around 8:45 PM. We were warmly greeted by a gentleman at the door who seated us promptly.

We placed our drink and appetizer orders right away. About 20 minutes later, our server returned—empty-handed—and informed us we needed to place our entire order at once. No problem, we gave him our full order then and there.

Another 30 minutes passed, and we still had no drinks. That’s when we were told the appetizers wouldn’t be coming because the chef had ended his shift. However, we were told our entrĂ©es would still come out, as a different chef was handling those.

After nearly 40 more minutes, our food finally arrived—except for my son’s cheeseburger. At that point, the server told us the burger wouldn’t be coming out and casually added that he was “busy,” and “sorry.”

I understand things can go wrong during service, especially later in the evening—but this was a disaster from start to finish. I truly hope management takes the time to better train the staff and prevent this from happening to...
