Sabor Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in City of Freeport

I don’t really write reviews for restaurants, but tonight’s service was terrible. I begged and convinced my mother that I wanted Sabor tonight and even offered to pay. We called the restaurant at 8pm and placed an order for Pumpkin and squash soup, conch chowder, one of their mushroom hamburgers and a house salad with a side of truffle sauce. We were told that they were out of the pumpkin soup so we discarded it from our order and was told that our food would be ready in 40 minutes. We also wanted to confirm the closing time which was 10:00. We called at 9pm to confirm if our order was ready for pickup and they told us that it wasn’t ready as yet. We then called back at 9:30 and they told us that we could come for our food. Upon arrival at the restaurant, I still had to wait for my food to come out, not to mention, the restaurant was empty. Once I got my food, the server told me the restaurant ran out of conch chowder. Annoyed, I still took my salad and burger because I was hungry. When I opened my food, I noticed that my chicken was very dry and unseasoned, the fries were burnt, the burger was dry and had 2 small mushrooms on it and the truffle sauce tasted like blended white onions and cream. Our experience here was disappointing to say the least... We were staying at the hotel this restaurant is part of and we went here for my fiancee's birthday. Not only did I make sure they sing and do something for a birthday at lunch when I made the reservation I also told our server and hostess when we got there for our reservation that night. Our server was NOT friendly and did not smile ever. He did not make our experience good. He charged my 8 year old niece for an adult full chicken pasta when all she had was noodles and butter... He also did not remember it was a birthday even tho I told him right when we sat down. It was not a good experience and I had to talk to the manager TWICE to get him to do anything at all for us especially for the ridiculous price of my nieces meal they wanted to charge. We would never go back there and don't recommend it. They clearly don't care about the customer service side of their job... and considering how empty of tourists it is that's a shame for them. We left unhappy and disappointed. Birthday only happens...

February 20, 2025 Worst dining experience! 2 servers for a full capacity restaurant. In addition to serving dine-in guests they were providing takeout for others. We were a group of 8, took an hour for the food to come to us and we all ate at different times. I have severe food allergies, allergic to carrots and I still received my shrimp with shaved carrots. We repeatedly had to ask the server for our meals and drinks. Condiments, cutlery and napkins were forgotten. We had to ask several times for these necessities. One person in our party ordered the lava cake for dessert, after 20 minutes we asked where the dessert was, the server told us the cake was in the oven. 15 minutes later she came to tell us the cake did not rise so no dessert! When we finally got our checks to pay, some of ours were incorrect as they had overcharged us. So then we had to wait for this correction to be done.
