Hôtel Solvay is undoubtedly a masterpiece of Art Nouveau architecture and well worth a visit. However, the organization and management of the museum at times come across as amateurish.
There is no audio guide, only a limited leaflet that contains spelling errors and lacks any engaging anecdotes about the building's rich history or details about the numerous artefacts on display.
There are no toilets available for visitors, which can pose a significant problem, especially for those with medical needs.

However, children under 10 are prohibited, which makes it impossible to plan a visit if you don't live in Brussels (or travel with a babysitter??). While we can understand that very young children aren't allowed to preserve the house, imho children from 7-8 years old are well able to behave themselves, especially for such a short visit. At least our 8 and 12 yo certainly are. But judging by the other comments, it seems the staff of the museum hardly trusts adults to behave...
