Beautiful trendy and creative restaurant with quite authentic Latin American cuisine. For sure a good recommendation in the Chatelain area.
So why not five stars. My main course, Salmon, was super tasty and without any flaws. My sharing platter or starter the Ceviche would need some improvement. While taste was good, the cutting was too rustic. Too much fish, very thick cubes and often the cubes weren’t well cut so that you would have a whole bunch of them on your spoon. This dish is a great concept, but the execution was really poor. Given the name of the restaurant, all Ceviches need to be signature dish level and here the execution wasn’t.
Cocktails were very creative and tasted amazing. I can recommend the Oaxacan Negroni with Mezcal.
Lastly Service was a bit too pushy on the Guacamole, the deserts and the ask to leave a rating. Just a little too much. In this kind of restaurant I wouldn’t expect someone to keep bothering you with the QR code to scan for a review.
You have a great restaurant, amazing food and a very friendly team. Please keep improving. I wanna come back and...
Read moreI went once over a year ago for Sunday brunch and it was quite nice so I decided to go back last week for dinner with a friend. Sadly it was a total disappointment.
The food is Mexican « inspired » so do not expect authenticity. I like fusion though, so authenticity in itself was not the issue. We didn’t feel like the food was made with pride and love, which is quite sad as that’s the heart and soul of any restaurant.
Tacos were cold as if they came right out of the fridge, carnitas and chicken were bland and cold. The quesadilla was more of a big pancake with a quite bland and cold cochinita besides the fact that it was downing in too much cheese. The salad accompanying the quesadilla was the only thing that was ok, though it was rather uninspired.
The staff needs better training by the way. They were sweet and friendly but clearly inexperienced.
The decoration is beautiful. Very instagrammable, but the owners should remember that clientele comes for the food first + service second and that decoration is an extra, not the...
Read moreWe had a great experience at Tigermilk and we are already looking forward to come back! The interior is super cosy and welcoming, set in an old Bourgeois house with some nice south-American decorative touches. There are larger tables for groups up to 10 and intimate tables for two for the perfect date night. The food is top-notch and the ceviche is absolutely to die for. All of the dishes are super fresh and you just want to try everything in the menu. The refreshing cocktails are a great accompaniment to the food, my favorite one being the mezcal spritz. And when it comes to dessert, don't miss out on the Dulce de Leche Cheesecake with salted caramel on top (but it's so rich you might want to share it with your significant other). Prices are extremely reasonably for the area and the service was impeccable. My only minor concern was the Qr-code menu (I personally just like to browse an old fashioned menu), but this didn't detract in any way from the excellent evening...
