Read moreBland and boring, nothing special. Maybe it is the "smashed" style that I don't like (first time I've had "smashed" burgers) but I expect burger patties to be at least a little bit juicy, this is not the case. Their burger is composed of two overcooked super thin patties. Instead of obtaining a Maillard reaction like they are supposed to (caramelized outside and juicy inside) they obtain a dry, tasteless patty. I doubt they are using Angus meat like they state but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since you can't really taste the meat due to its dryness. The "cheddar" (a nice cheese from the UK destroyed by American industrialists) is of low quality and therefore has no taste. The fries are average. A bland, fatty experience at its best. Paid €17 for burger, fries and soft drink, pricey for what it is but it is the Châtelain. Many better options nearby. Not coming...

When I mentioned it, she said: Sorry, I made a mistake. It’s ok maybe she was new. I sat down by the window, behind the kitchen bar, only to see how dirty the floor was. You can see fries all over the space, dirty fridges from the outside, not a pleasant way to wait for my order and then eat with such a view. Also, people, not wearing chef outfits, were walking through the kitchen area in and out. That didn’t feel right.
All in all, my visit wasn’t as great as expected, especially the cleanliness of...
