My friend and I tried this place out for lunch because we were in the area and it has high google reviews.
The ciabatta tastes good but the drink (house tea I think) is watery. My review is more on the price point of the meal I have gotten.
This ciabatta and the watery drink is 14 euros. It is too steep for the price. Even the pre-packed meals that they are selling on their fridge have steep price points. I believe this is because of the shop's location - it is in a touristy area after all.
The attitude of the staff is a little dismissive and cold but they managed to bring the orders promptly so I was not that pressed about this.
The interior is cute and charming. I just hope that when you visit here, you do not chance upon the table that is right beside the WC/comfort room. There were people there when we ate there and I think that if I was one of those people, I would personally found that really off-putting - imagine eating beside the WC. But those people did not have complaints -- this is a preference thing rather than a critic, really.
Overall, I would not really recommend it if the goal is to maximize your budget on your trip...
Read moreThis well hidden place with a relaxing view is a good spot to have lunch and stair outside their window. It’s called ‘Love Ciabatta’ but I was disappointed that they didn’t actually sell a wide range of different Ciabatta combos. I ordered the ‘Copa Mozza brocolis rôtis’ which had a good and special flavor so I definitely recommend trying that one. It is on the more pricier side thought so keep that in mind. Just a heads up that after 16:00, they don’t make any smoothies. Atmosphere is really where the waiter ruined what was initially a really cozy experience. Let me elaborate. Basically, he was playing his own music playlist which consisted of songs that didn’t match the interior cozy esthetics. Songs in which artists were regularly distastefully using the n-word. What really sealed the deal and made me stand up and leave was when metal music came on. This very unfortunate because the waiter seemed genuinely nice but this is a classic case of “personal playlists should not be played at your...
Read moreOrdered three sandwiches to eat inside and they never came. We waited 45 minutes and asked them THREE times where our order was. First time “oh I’m really sorry but you know with the stress….” No mention of when or how we’d get our order. Second time “yes sir I’ll take care of that right away”…with no follow up. Third time, same thing. Finally had to wait in line to get my refund. All the manager had for me was “yeah sorry we were really stressed” but there was hardly no one left in the place. Not once after asking did they try to take care of us. Luckily, I got my refund and the manager didn’t even offer a free sandwich, just a “yeah sorry we were busy and we consistently forgot your order”. It’s hard to find customer service this poor elsewhere in Brussels!
Important to note that the sandwiches were 100% ready and put on a plate in front of us when we ordered them. They should have just been given to us there. Also, we didn’t seem to be the only people that day who were in a...
