Warwick Grand-Place Brussels Experience that checked in feeling ✨ #WarwickGrandPlaceBrussels #Brussels #GrandPlace #WarwickBrussels #hotel #wheretostayinbrussels

We (English & Italian) stayed here for 4 nights in February 2024. Although I myself have been to Brussels many times before, my partner had not, and I was looking for a hotel with a ‘wow’ factor to help us have the best possible experience. The location of the Hotel is optimal, a 5 minute walk to Brussel Centraal station, and pretty much round the corner from the Grand Place. The front of house staff were friendly and accommodating, I cannot fault their English language skills. Our room was perfect for our stay. Given we visited early February, the weather wasn’t exactly at its best, but this wasn’t a problem and our room was kept at a toasty temperature at all times. Unexpectedly, the view of the grand town hall spire in the centre square added extra magic to our stay. We were never disturbed by noise during our sleep in the big comfy bed, and the range of channels on the large TV in the room ensured we could watch anything from the BBC to Spanish and German programs. The desk in the room is a good size and the mirrorThe large wardrobe was perfect for our storage needs and the mini-fridge was sufficient for cooling our beer and the foie-gras we bought to take back home. Our rooms were tended to every day and cleaned to a good standard. The style of the hotel itself is classy and slightly dated, but for us this just added to the experience, with the rooftop bar the perfect place to visit in the evening, which we didn’t find too pricey given the location and panoramic views of the city. On the day we left we were able to leave our luggage with the hotel and collect it in the evening before leaving Brussels - although we did wish we could have stayed another few nights! The deposit money we paid on the room was returned promptly and without any issues, as we are satisfied with the value for money on our stay given it was a one-off. The only thing we could fault was the small amount of dust on the bathroom floor and the dated bath and shower, maybe these could be replaced with something in the same style but a bit more modern. We also did not eat at the hotel, we felt the options available were too expensive and not worth the money. These things did not affect our overall experience. I can recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a classy few nights in Brussels. We hope to return to this hotel in the future. Overall, we had a delightful visit!

Although it is rated a 5 star hotel, it certainly didn't feel this way. I would rate a 4 star without question. The hotel facilities are outdated. The room is not that spacious, but it is okay. They have a proper desk and chair to sit and internet connection worked fine for me (in case you plan to do some work). The bathroom is for me the worst in the room. The bathtub shower is not comfortable and it doesn't work properly. I tried switching from the top shower to the other shower head but it didn't work properly. Also the shower head didn't have the best placement. You end up splashing water on the floor and it doesn't allow for a comfortable shower (definitely not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel). Mattress was big and comfortable, but the pillows for some strange reason are huge. The room was clean. Gym area is okay but it is unfortunately located in the basement without any windows and no change to control the room temperature. Breakfast buffet was good and had a decent variety of choice. The quality of the coffee was not that good (at least for my taste). The location is the best thing about the hotel, very close to the train station and to the old town. Service was okay. They have a rooftop bar but if you want to access you have to pay extra. I find it quite disappointing that as a guest of the hotel you are not allowed to simply access the rooftop and are "forced" to pay 10€ if you want to go there. I understand the fee for people that are not staying at the hotel, but for hotel guests is store quite unacceptable. Also you can only access at a specific time of the day. I don't think the price/quality ratio is justified for this hotel. For 5 nights, the bill was almost 1000€. You can certainly find other hotels with an similar location that might be cheaper. EDIT Reply to Owner: I understand that you don't want the rooftop overcrowded, however the fact that as a guest (unless maybe you are in a suite) cannot access the rooftop at all during the day is a pity. At the very least you could make it open access for any guests until a certain time of the day and then implement the system.

There is nothing right about this so called "luxury hotel" We booked a mini suites

The hot water didn't really work we tried to leave it on for 20 minutes in both sink and shower. We called the reception twice in order to get someone to look at it, ended up with the attitude from the staff who took a while to work it out and kinda saying "this is an old building, to get the hot water to work you need to turn on the hot water in the bath tub for a few minutes for it to run hot for the rest of the hot water in the sink and shower to work", instead of apologising, we got an attitude like we were stupid, first of all we do not work at this hotel to know, second of all, he works at this hotel but still took time to work it all out.

On the 2nd day we requested for a towel set because we missed the housekeeping time (we didn't know the time, when I went down to reception they said the housekeeping were still working), I rang to housekeeping, no one picked up, I rang the reception, I was told that I will get the towels soon, waited 30 minutes, rang again, still another promised, nothing appear, 1 hour later I went down to reception and asked, how long does it take to get a towel, the staff said will come soon, waited for another 45 minutes nothing happen so I went down again, and a lady helped me in the end I got the towel after almost 3 hours wait.

At the check out at close to 4 pm (we got the late checkout deal), at around 3.30 pm we went down and tried to check out, there was a long line, so I approached the guy who handled the luggage to see if there is a faster way as we were going to miss our train, the response was "if you need to check out fast, next time do it a day earlier or come down earlier" instead of offering an alternatives, we again got the attitude.

The room were run down, one of the lamp wouldn't turn off as the switch didn't work so we ended up unplugging it

Let's just say we will not come back to this hotel again under any circumstances. The facility were run down but ok, the location is great but the worst is the staffs' attitude

My friends who stayed in another room also said the staffs attitude were really bad although they didn't have hot water issue like us even though we were on the same floor and...
