Tierenteyn-Verlent is a famous maker of mustard in Ghent. You can find this cute little shop at Groentenmarkt. Opening hours are 9.30-6pm (closed on Sundays).
They have been making mustard the same way at Tierenteyn-Verlent since 1790 and rightly so - it is delicious. Join the queue of locals and informed tourists eager to stock up on Tierenteyn-Verlent mustards, pickles, spiced products and sundries.
I really like their spicy mustard. It is strongly flavoured but flavourful and hint of sweetness. You can purchase in glass jars or in unique Tierenteyn-Verlent mustard jars which make really nice souvenirs of your trip to Ghent.
