Cathédrale Saint-Aubain — Attraction in Namur

This church has the distinction of being one that was built as a cathedral having been established by papal bull of 1559. Both the exterior and interior have been designed to a Baroque style. The interior of white plaster, lavish sculptures suggests that it's Late Baroque such as Rococo. Especially the statues in the high relief at the corners of the pendentive, the ornate pulpit and elaborately decorated vaults especially on the apse and semi domes.

Well worth a visit...

very sad historical place, shabby walls and windows, building slowly falls apart, a very interesting curved paintings slowly decay, inside the building you feel cold on the body and on the soul too, it is a pity that such a nice and large cathedral is going to the end of its life, it will not last long and there...

Normal church inside, nothing that you have probably already seen before. Just a shame that outside is poorly maintained.

It should not surprise me, the whole city seemed to have seen better times. Other building to Namur’s lack of maintenance...
