The view of the city is nice, but as others have said, you can't see Old Town. The cross itself is not terribly impressive. We walked up from Old Town using suggested route on Google maps. It took maybe 1.5 hours. There is a hiking trail not shown on Google maps, which we took down. Its overgrown in a few spots, but more interesting and much shorter than road route...and probably safer. It is marked with white dot surrounded by red circle, starting from city streets not far from bell tower. Head up the steps behind the concrete wall in one photo and take a left at top and follow the road and markers. The start / end of the trail is in the trees behind the blue car maybe 3-5 minutes walk...

There are no amenities at the top, so don't expect a coffee break anywhere, but for a quick stop and a photo opportunity it's lovely.
