Lots of love has gone into the displays and artifacts. The Algonquin room has two amazing birchbark canoes. And a couple of baskets dating back to the 1800's, as well as direct connections to the relations of the people that made the items. Pretry cool to talk Mary, a curator, about her connections to the local Algonquin. Definitely not a faceless institute....

Loved this museum! It may look small from the outside but there's a wealth of history on the inside. One thing I loved about this museum is that unlike most museums, we were able to interact with the pieces (e.g. the organ, the record player, the radio). Tons of fun and the staff were fantastic. I'd recommend this to anyone...
