A Love ❤️ is baked into every cake Here. I’m not joking. It’s a game to find the heart amongst the pieces cut. A wonderful lady named Tracy manages this quaint “not for profit” cafe which raises funds for the Bancroft Community Transit organization; All the funds raised go towards helping this community stay active. They make getting to activities, easier for folks who would otherwise be isolated. Tracy and her team of 2 love to bake and make homemade soups. Many of their recipes are family recipes dating back 3 generations. In fact, the first cake, that Tracy baked for the cafe, came from her Grandmother’s cake pans and recipe. When Tracy was a wee girl, her Grand told her, one day she’d bake beautiful cakes for people and here she is! Heartwarming. Went in to order 2 pizzas to go today. One was a margarita and the other a meat lovers. I seen a pizza that was sitting beside the oven that looked burnt after handing them my receipt I was handed a pizza in the box and then sat and waited for the other one. That had me waiting another 25 minutes, yet pizzas were coming out of the oven and going to tables. Finally I was handed the second pizza and asked how do I eat these now when one is hot and the other not so hot now. No response received. I wish I looked at them before I left the restaurant. Burnt, undercooked dough. I believe I was given the pie that I first seen sitting there. Pizza was burnt and tasteless. This doesn’t look anything like the pizza pictures advertised on the Facebook page. Will not waste my money on these wood oven pizzas again. A small place with huge personality! Busy but not overwhelming decor that feels organized and energized! Small menu but excellent ingredients! Quality not quantity! My Fiancé had a red pepper, sun dried tomato and goat cheese sandwich and a Chai tea Latte. I had a grilled cheese Panini with the ham add on and a English toffee cappuccino. Both were great! The only complaint my fiancé had was that there was to much goat cheese on hers. It is very rich and packed full of flavor! But that's hardly a complaint to get to much of something great! We left getting the mint chocolate cheese cake tart and the chai tea tart! Very fancy and im sure will be top notch! We haven't gotten into them yet. But they look incredible! We will be going...
