My husband purchased a watch for me as a Christmas gift which was not suitable. When he tried to return it was told by the owner exchange only. She directed him to a notice that is the length of a letter typed in small print posted below his waist level away from point of payment that states exchange only. There should be a sign posted somewhere visible when purchasing items to let the customer know what the policy is, or perhaps on the bill of sale or both. I called to discuss and was told exchange only and cut off by her hanging up when I tried to respond. This certainly isn’t the way to treat new clients or any client. Went in and spoke with Kathy about getting a diamond stud replaced that had been lost. She was extremely helpful and a phone call to her goldsmith let me know that he had a stone to make me a new one. When the earring came back I talked with Kathy about having a lobster clasp removed from a gold chain to make it a continuous chain.
