Overall a nice waterfront. You can find free parking fairly close by. The playground is great for my children. The water front trail is perfect for long walks with my family. They even have a section for fishing. Most of the people in this area are friendly. There are plenty of places to have a picnic. They even have a water fountain. It close to downtown Barrie so there are many options for food. The only downside is that unfortunately Barrie seems to have many homeless people that hang out around the waterfront. I highly recommend travel by go to this station if you want to explore Barrie waterfront on foot, bicycles or your mobility device. Parking in area costs $ 10 per hours 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. Save yourself lot of headaches and money and travel by Go to this station. Look into Go weekend pass if going on weekend.
