🚂 All Aboard for Family Fun at Burnaby Central Railway! 🚂 👨👩👧👦 We took the kids to Burnaby Central Railway on a sunny Saturday afternoon, and it was an absolute blast! Located just a short drive from Metro Vancouver, this miniature train park offers a unique and fun experience for all ages. The ride itself is about 10-15 minutes long, taking you through tunnels, over bridges, and around lush greenery, giving everyone that nostalgic train ride feel. 🚂 The trains are detailed replicas of real-world locomotives, including steam and diesel engines. Our kids were thrilled to ride on them, and it’s clear why this place draws about 100,000 visitors each year. Watching the excitement on their faces as the train whistled and chugged along was priceless! 🛤️ The setting at Confederation Park is perfect for a family outing. There’s a small museum showcasing model trains, a picnic area, and a concession stand serving up classic treats like ice cream and hot dogs. Everything is well-maintained by the friendly volunteers who run the railway, making it a welcoming place to spend a few hours. 🏞️ If you’re looking for a memorable activity that combines fun, history, and a bit of adventure, Burnaby Central Railway is a must-visit. It’s a great way to enjoy some quality family time while exploring one of Burnaby’s hidden gems. We’ll definitely be back for another ride!

A Burnaby hidden treasure! If you have children, you probably know about it. But I dare say, parents have as much fun as their children. For a mere pittance you can ride a variety of miniature train cars pulled by carefully created replica trains. Personally, I enjoy the steam engines which harken back to a more civilized time where people rode trains in style. But there are many different types (sorry, no Thomas). There is a surprisingly elaborate set of tracks, bridges and tunnels that meander through a small forest. Lots of fun things have been set up on the trees for the children to look at. Depending on how busy the railway is, your train ride could be quite lengthy or shorter if the line-ups are long. The trains are run by the a small group of volunteer train enthusiasts with the land being rented to them for a nominal amount by the city. They have a few picnic tables for eating, and a reserved area for children’s parties. Cheaper to buy the train tokens in the 10 pack (and if you have children, one ride will NOT be enough). Children under 3 are free. A small concession stand and washrooms are available. All in all, a very enjoyable way to spend a few dollars. I highly doubt you will be disappointed.

Adorable…Awesome…Amazing⭐️🌟⭐️🌟✨ Five stars are not enough for this place.😍 My son just see this place on tiktok & we decided to visit.🤔 Parking is the concern, few spots are available outside of this place or next parking lot of garden but individuals may have arrange themselves on full. 🙁 Price: Super cheaper…I can’t believe that ride is $4.50 per person. 🤪 Food inside premises like popcorn, ice cream & etc are also too cheap. I believe non-profitable organization. 👏 Ride is the main attraction of this venue. Train took through bridges, forest, small statues besides & many more. It is around half an hour with excitement not limited to kids. 🚂 Miniature moving trains are the other attractions. I show lots of miniature world but this is really amazing. Locomotive engine & other trains with cartoon characters are amazing. 🤩 There are 4to5 tables with umbrellas for seating & eating food. 3 tables for celebration like birthday are also available. 🥳 Working guys are gem 💎. They are treating so nicely with smile & encourage to ask questions & add in your joyful memories. 🎩 of you guys. 🙏 I will definitely visit again with my entire family & recommend everybody to visit at least once. 👍 Thanks 😊

The Burnaby Central Railway has been here since I was a little kid and probably even before that. I remember the delight upon seeing the mini trains the first time my dad and I walked past Confederation Park, and this amazing place came to view. I remember fondly riding the mini train with my dad and both of us thinking how cool the experience was. Sadly, dad has long passed. Now, I found myself having the opportunity to take my little ones to experience the joy I remembered. The Burnaby Central Railway has grown a lot since my childhood. There are more tracks and more structures than I remembered. There's an actual line of people the day I visited. It took 3 trains before our turn, though they run multiple trains in different directions at once, so the actual waiting time was not long. The train experience was even better than I remembered. The price has gone up, but going from $2 to $4.50 is very reasonable. I'm not sure if the increase in tracks has made the experience longer or that I don't remember it that well. I'm just happy to take my kids to share this experience. I look forward to returning when I'm in town. FYI, they open between Easter and Thanksgiving.
