Bridgeland Riverside Farmers Market — Attraction in Calgary

This is a terrific local market which isn't just a way to support local business and try something new, but also a fun experience and pleasant afternoon out for the family. My 5 and 7 year old kids love the balloon animal guy, the face painting with Whitney, lawn games (especially corn hole), gourmet lemonade stand and kettle corn. My favorites are Gill Z's produce - always fresh and delicious, and the eggs from Shirley's Greenhouse. Love the hot dogs from Rich Dogs too - they're fantastic! Overall a really pleasant vibe and a nice place to visit of a Thursday afternoon. There's always a different special attraction each week and live music so we like to keep coming back to see what fun things...

This weekly Market is one of my highlights of the summer and early fall. It's a fun adventure finding fresh produce and other foodstuff to prepare weekly and/or special meals. This market is the best! Great vendors with an amazing variety of food choices, like cherries, strawberries, flowers, preserves, coffee, beer, breads and desserts! I always pick up dinner at a food truck, and sit and listen to music. And always run into neighbours and friends.
