Golden Bell Bridgeland — Restaurant in Calgary

Very dissapointed. Had good reviews so I thought we would try an order from here for a change instead of our usual places.. mistake.. Maybe it was a bad night in the kitchen. We Ordered off skip the dishes which has many Vietnamese options in this city and many of them much, much, much better quality, quantity and taste compared to this place. The rare beef pho soup was not good as the broth tasted like beef flavor was added to bland old stock that had an old shrimpy taste-Really did not taste good and the beef was bland, was not enjoyed or finished. The vermicelli dish was edible but had very little meat and veg on it and no crushed peanuts and was also quite bland. Spring rolls were mediocre..overall poor value as compared to many other Vietnamese restaurants I have tried. Will not order from here again or visit the restaurant. Some of the much better Vietnamese restaurants I have tried are Van Son on 16th ave, Bolsa in Acadia plaza, Blue ocean on Mcleod & 58th, Saigon Maxim in riverbend, Vietnam international and southview Vietnamese in foothills industrial. Delicious food. Amazing service. Great ambience.

A must try for visitors and locals alike. Pho broth was light, non greasy, flavourful and delicious. Noodles were perfect, not too soft, not too hard. The only letdown was the beef slice portions, a little too little.

The peanut sauce beef noodles were amazing. Very rich, dense, flavourful broth with ample beef portions. Cant recommend it enough.

Noodle bowl was delicious! Ingredients were plentiful and flavour was just perfect. Light and bursting with flavour.

Service, IMPECCABLE! The lady at the counter was amazing. First time I’ve been to a restaurant where the tea never ran dry, water never reached the bottom and smaller dishes for us to share, given out before we even asked.

Highly recommended, what a gem in Calgary! Will definitely visit again!

I’ve been alive for 28 years, I eat out fairly often, and I can honestly say this is in my top list of the best service I’ve ever had. The staff were extraordinarily friendly and genuinely seemed like they were having a good time at work, which is rare to come across these days. Hearing laughing in the kitchen was heartwarming and it makes a big difference for me as a consumer because I want to support businesses where the culture is good and the staff are treated well. I was in a hurry, they took my order immediately, and the food came out so quickly.
