I've been here a couple of times and had mixed feelings. You really can't beat $5 a ticket, and the snacks aren't priced all that bad either. The theaters themselves are decent. Obviously not the same as a big chain like cineplex, but I like supporting local establishments. I came for an evening movie with my wife and there seemed to be some problems. After 5 minutes past 9pm (when our film was scheduled to begin), they advised of technical problems and said it would be 5 more minutes maximum. At 40 minutes past 9pm, they told us we would need to switch to a different screening room to watch our movie. Halfway through watching the movie, a group of teens entered the theater and started yelling, and one threw a bag of popcorn across the theater and almost hit a group of patrons watching the movie. 20 minutes later, they came back and started screaming in the room and ran away. I like the idea of this cinema. However, I feel like it may benefit by having a bit more staff presence near the actual cinemas to stop the riff raff from coming in and causing trouble.

So I went here a little while ago to see film with a family member and it is kinda a get what you pay for situation. If you are fully aware that 5$ is pretty cheap for a movie ticket then you should also be aware that it won't be the most amazing theatre you have ever been too. That being said, there isn't really much to complain about. The staff are fantastic, the bathrooms are decent and the actual cinema rooms are ok. The screen size isn't bad and the chairs are a little old but still comfy. The cinema rooms themselves vary. Some are nicer than others. The nice ones are clean and comfy, while the other ones have a slight bit of what looks to be water damage as well as ceiling panels removed. All in all not bad for 5$ though, a fun simple time if you're close to it and and want something to do. 7/10

my wife and I had a fantastic time celebrating our daughters birthday there. The party room we had (not sure if there are more) was clean & brightly decorated by staff (although we chose to add our own flavour to the scene). Room says seats up to 12 ppl, we had 12 kids and comfortably fit an extra 10 standing parents. Realistically the benches around the table could have seated 16 ppl easily. Cups/plates, cutlery, & napkins were supplied by cinema. Communication was clear from beginning to end with the staff. My daughter has Autism and special arrangements were easily made for our entire group. Everything ran smoothly and the cost was reasonable. We will definitely do this again some time and I'd highly recommend it.

My bf and I come here a lot for cheezy tales and snacks. It’s usually a very pleasant experience! But yesterday they had a trainee in, and she was extremely lovely and doing her absolute best! But there was a dark haired man who appears to be some Sort of supervisor or manager, who was being very impatient and condescending towards her. It was very uncomfortable to watch. She didn’t realized that the salted caramel dog only came In cheese, and asked me if I wanted meat, half, or full cheese. He immediately came around from behind and in a very fed up tone explained to her that they only come in cheese because “meat doesn’t go with a dessert
” I quickly let her know that it’s a simple mistake and maybe some people enjoy meat with their dessert. (That part probably isn’t true but I felt the need to console her after being called out in such a belittling tone.) it wasn’t what he said that’s the issue, it’s HOW he said it to her and the way he basically kept behind her with a irritated look on his face.

Whoever you are, dark haired person.. you need to learn to treat people better. Learning is all part of any process and to make someone feel stupid for it really isn’t acceptable. I felt genuinely bad watching the way he interacted with the trainee. Funniest part about that, is I had considered applying for work there. Good thing I didn’t, because apparently you’re expected to come with preloaded knowledge about working...

The young staffers were friendly and kind and very knowledgable about what they serve. I ordered a drink from The Dirty Soda Shoppe 😏 but I had the slightest clue what tasted good but the staffer who took our order knew her stuff and she suggested that I try the “Princess Bride” and she was absolutely right even tho my husband said it looked gross and I was going to regret buying it, it turned out to be so good that he even finished it đŸ˜©đŸ˜‚.

The only negative part about our movie experience at Canyon Meadows Cinema was that the theatre we went into was absolutely disgusting. There were drinks spills all over the floor popcorn was everywhere like people just took the popcorn and threw it up in the air. Garbage everywhere. My kids went in with their Blankey‘s, and by the end of the movie their Blankey‘s were nasty from touching the ground. I don’t fault the staffers at all. I more fault the people who are going to watch the movies what type of PIG are you to leave such mess in a theatre clearly you must not have any sort of a Home training. This isn’t the first time we’ve gone to this cinema and to find the theatre’s...
