Nestled in the heart of Elora, Ontario, the Elora Distilling Company offers a charming and intimate experience for both casual visitors and seasoned spirit connoisseurs. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with a cozy, welcoming vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. 😌✨ The tasting room is beautifully designed, with a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere perfect for sampling their small-batch spirits. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, guiding you through the different flavors with enthusiasm. Every sip feels like an experience. 😋🥂 If you’re a fan of gin, you’re in for a treat! 🍸 The gin here is exceptional, with a balanced botanical blend that’s both smooth and complex. Their vodka and liqueurs also stand out, making it tough to leave without picking up a bottle (or two!). 😍 One of the highlights of the visit is their cocktail classes. 🍹👩‍🍳 These hands-on sessions are not only fun but also a great way to learn how to craft cocktails using their spirits. It’s a fantastic experience whether you’re a cocktail newbie or a seasoned mixologist. 🧑‍🔬 Located in the picturesque town of Elora, the distillery is also a perfect stop during a day trip. After your visit, you can explore the beautiful Elora Gorge and nearby shops. 🌳🏞️ Overall, Elora Distilling Company is a must-visit if you're in the area. You’ll leave with great memories, newfound knowledge about spirits, and probably a new favorite bottle of gin! 🥳🍾

Had a worst experience yesterday with Joey! *I don’t know if I pronounce her name right but it’s spelled like Joey* We had a table yesterday and got served by Joey & Olivia. When Olivia was nice and helpful; Joey brought us some water first and I asked if we can order. She said: “Yes but water first.” Then she didn’t come back! We ordered through Olivia. Then Joey brought us our drink, heavily & loudly put it on the table & we noticed something unnormal. Third time, she put the first plate of food on the table, again mostly like drop it. I have to ask her to give it to me so it won’t ruin our experience. But the same thing happened to the last plate. I asked her: “Is everything alright?” - she said: “What?” Me: “Can you please be gentle thank you” She was mad & gave me a side eye look & leaving with: “Jesus!” We were looking at each other scary knowing nothing if we did anything wrong. We tried not to ask her again because it’ll ruin our day so just let it go even we came all the way from Toronto. We don’t know if she was racist or just tired but whatever it is, it was an unprofessional attitude! But will not come back again because of her. Thanks

I loved this place. We sat on their big patio which was nicely shaded with big umbrellas - providing a break from the sun on a summer day. Our server was very friendly and attentive and quick on her feet. We had the charcuterie nachos. Now don’t mistake them for nachos. If nachos is what you want, this isn’t it. So, pay attention to the menu. This was a riff on nachos, elevated in a surprising way. It was a plank of kettle cooked crispy potato chips topped with cheese, pickled shallots, sun dried tomatoes and…..charcuterie….shredded deli meat. Get it? Charcuterie nachos. It was unexpected and interesting and delicious. And the kind of thing I can replicate at home. We had refreshing cocktails - a gin tonic from their own gin distillery, a strawberry lime ricky and one other drink I can’t recall - all were great. I poked my head inside and even their bar is cute. I imagine it’d be a good spot even for a rainy or winter day. I’d check it out again and try more of the food and cocktail menu.

If you're hungry, EAT ANYWHERE ELSE but here. Don't be fooled by the good reviews and the high rating because these are mostly for the brewery side. We stopped here for lunch today and despite having several empty tables, the hostess told the people waiting before us that she wasn't able to tell them how long the wait would be because she didn't know how long it would take to clear up tables and seat them, despite having some tables clean and ready for service (what?? 🤔🤔🤔). First red flag. It took her several minutes to seat us (party of 2) as she fiddled with her seating chart for several minutes. Second red flag. It took 15 minutes for our waitress to acknowledge our presence. She did apologize profusely and I feel like something was going on in the back so I don't blame her for it all for this but still, third red flag. Out of the 10 or so tables already seated, only 2 had food. Fourth red flag. My friend ordered the burger special which came with potato salad or chips (he picked chips) and I chose the pretzels. The waitress didn't ask me about the dips although the menu said I could pick two and when I mentioned that, she wasn't 100% sure what the options were. Fifth red flag. The hostess continued to be very overwhelmed with people waiting to be seated, whether they were a large party or a couple of people. Sixth red flag. I really wish we would've left but my friend wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because it was a busy Saturday with lots of out of town folks. The pretzels looked like store bought pretzels that were just baked in an oven. The "dips" were sample sizes of spinach dip and straight up Dijon mustard squeezed from a store bought bottle. The burger was the saddest burger on Earth. The patties were very obviously store bought garbage. The potato chips were also very obviously store bought. It felt like nothing was actually "made" in the kitchen, just taken out of a store branded box and slapped on a grill or in an oven. The only good thing about the meal was my friend's beer. So do yourself a favor and don't ruin your day trip by coming...

We just recently hosted my parents 40th Anniversary at the DIstillery and I have to say, it was absolutely perfect! The venue on its own is decorated beautifully in an art deco 1920s style so it wasn't even really necessary to dress it up at all. The staff were by far the best part though. Our bartenders Malin and Marlena were fabulous. So kind and paid attention to all the small details. Malin was so incredible as to even build me the champagne tower of my dreams which was a huge hit with all the guests. He did such an fantastic job and just really made the whole night so special and fun (especially for my 4yr old daughter who sat at the bar all night ordering lemonades). The food was DELICIOUS! James and Amrutha did an incredible job and made sure to be checking on the plates to ensure everything was full throughout the night. They also took on the burden of cutting our cake for us which was again just perfect. And of course our planner Linnea was just so wonderful and energetic and accommodating. She really put our minds at ease over everything. I also recommend the Juniper loft airbnb. We rented it for my parents and they absolutely loved it. Gorgeous space, clean, and so convenient for after our event. Overall, I would highly recommend this venue for small parties and events. The atmosphere, staff, and food, were all a home run and we could not be happier. So many people said it was the best anniversary party they...
