Vedder Park — Attraction in Chilliwack

I believe this park is a big reason why Chilliwack's real estate market is booming like it is, especially in this area. This trail spans for several kms, with clean, maintained flush washrooms, children's play areas, river access, great views, benches every 50 feet, and a well maintained, wide trail. My wife and I visit this trail almost daily with our little one, and it has become a highlight of our day to make the quick drive over to the dog park. Recently, there has been convenient little food and beverage trucks along the trail, which has been an even further highlight. My favourite is Ample Coffee, which gets us a coffee in hand for the walk, and makes it that much more special. Highly recommended this trail. On a weekend, this trail...

Has a nice walkway along the river. Has a playground for kids, and a fitness station as well, more for adults. There are 2 dog parks, one for small dogs and one for bigger dogs. This is excellent as owners can choose which gated dog park would be best and safest for their dogs. Overall the park is clean. Only comment i have is it would be important for parents to watch younger children and not zone out on their phones or get distracted by talking with others, as it does have access to the river, which is natural and thus not fenced and the river bank drops down 10 or more feet estimated. Pulled in late night to eat Mc Flurries. Blackness surrounded us bit from what I could see and I was told there was a children play park to the left of us and to right and behind us were fenced dog parks one for smaller dogs and one for large and in charge breeds. So normally people in the day listen to kids playing screaming and probably crying no doubt in one ear and the other ear.. barking, growling and jaws filled with k9's snapping at eachother while dropping landmines all over the place.
