Banter Ice Cream — Restaurant in Chilliwack

Stopped by today, they had 1 girl working. This is a shame to over work one employee while there is a line up of customers waiting. I love the ice cream here but unfortunately everytime we come, the same girl is being over worked and I have to wait 25-30 minutes for an icecream. There was one other employee working but he was cleaning out ice cream buckets. The girl had to work the till and serve the customers. I don't agree with this type of slavework. Will not return.

Edit there were no kids here on a field trip when I was here. Just one employee taking cash and doing all of the orders by herself, while I observed 3 employees in the back room! She is a very sweet & caring worker but I felt bad while she kept forgetting people's orders, which was not her fault, only the managements fault for not having an additional employee. One for taking orders and one for gathering the orders. It is time consuming when she has to take orders, then walk away to get the icecreams while the next customers have to wait for their turn. Add one more employee to assist with orders, tada! Problem solved. I don't appreciate the review claiming there was a class when I'd arrived, if that was the case I would have mentioned it or have not complained. Again, she is a fantastic employee and I see her working hard every time I come there. Her fellow co-worker (male) was also ignoring her when she spoke to him and he should have jumped in to assist with orders. I was a manager at McDonald's and Starbucks many years ago and this is what we did when there were customers waiting. It is the proper thing to do. Lowering my rating from a 3 star to a 2 because of the managements response, rather she could have said, "We will do our best next time to ensure there is enough staff to assist with lines to reduce customers...

Came in with a friend about a week ago for a quick cone and catch up. I enjoyed a generous "Kids scoop" of the cold brew coffee flavor, which was even better than expected. Creamy and delicious! While pondering what flavor to get, we enjoyed watching one of the ladies pour, press, and shape fresh cones on the spot! My friend enjoyed his generous scoop of salted carmel something (i can not for the life of me, remember the exact name.) He did opt to have it in a bowl, which wouldn't be my personal choice after seeing so many cones delicately made infront of us, but to each their own 🤪

The staff was friendly and tentative and greeted us with a smile.

Although the high table seating is incredibly pleasing to look at, it's not the most comfortable to sit in. Keep in mind we were not sat here by a staff member, but opted to sit there as the outside seating area was pretty cramped with the overflow of eager climbers waiting to get in next door at the climbing gym.

Very limited seating, but esthetically pleasing if you get the chance to snag a seat!

Please, please bring back the peach sangria (I believe that's what it was. It was something sangria) ice cream!! It was to die for 🤤

Sadly, we took no pics this visit as we were determined to get our ice cream in our belly before it melted!

As soon as I walked into the store, I could sense a delightful vibe that drew me in to try their ice cream despite not being a massive fan of ice cream. The fragrance of the flavors filled the store, making it impossible to resist trying their top-notch, homemade flavors and deliciously crunchy cones, especially the chocolate flavor.

One of the female staff members was exceptionally courteous and patient in assisting us, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a great pace in helping us select the flavors blackberry cherve and chocolate, both of which tasted absolutely phenomenal. She even allowed us to sample a spoonful before making our decision.

I unfortunately forgot to ask for the name of the staff member who assisted us today, but I will definitely be returning soon and sharing some photos of as well.
