Tourism Dawson Creek — Attraction in Dawson Creek

Well THAT was so much more than I expected! Shoutout to Quinn and Serena for being not just incredibly helpful and informative but also delightful. What great representatives for this sweet little town. There is a MUSEUM in there, too. Check out both sides of the visitor center. One side is a historic representation of the building as it was when it was a railroad depot. The other side is full of taxidermied animals from the area, dinosaur bones, a mammoth tusk and all manner of paraphernalia from times past. Nice gift shop with items from local artists. I came from Grande Prairie, AB and to while away the hours, I stopped by the Tourism Dawson Creek. Which houses a beautiful museum. It was fun. Small and cozy on two floors. They ask for donations which I think is okay by the way. The staff are friendly and lovely. Did not know about the Mile 0 Alaska Highway until I came here. Especially how the overland route to Alaska was constructed by the US Army Engineers in the spring of 1942 during World War 2 at a cost of $140 million. Dawson Creek is a city of history.
