Read moreAll-time favorite place doesn't matter the weather, just in front of the inlet. You can do a lot of activities around here. Hiking, picnic, kayaking, or even just relaxing. Famous query rock 🪨 close by for a short, well marked trail for further amazing view from the top. There are benches almost every corner for resting your feet and enjoying the stunning view of the deep cove.
Few local shops, ice cream parlors, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. in the neighborhood.
They've done nice landscaping and gardening around the docks. There is also a boat rental place. You can rent a kayak or boat from there and enjoy the view from the different angels or even go to the other side of the inlet to belcarra picnic area or even further towards Indian Arms if your heart desires.
Parking is a bit of a pickle. The main parking is always full. It's just behind the park, free for 3 hours. There is an overflow parking on the south side of the park further down the road on the right side, and some free street parking is also available along that stretch. On the pick time, it is still very difficult to find a spot.

In their wisdom city planners included commodes such as indoor flush toilets with toilet tissue for free. There are are basins with soap dispensers.
It I had a complaint, it would be that the running water was cold. The showers, too. And the air hand dryer could use some oomph.
Also, there were no quartz crystals with which to energize the free water at the bottle re-fill station and the essential oil diffusers must have been on the fritz today, because the joint was odiferous and I do not mean stinking like skunk weed.
If you ever want to take the waterfall walking tour at Deep Cove somewhere over here on the Mainland, it is worth a visit.
