Cafe Orso in North Vancouver is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home. The ambiance is cozy and chic, perfect for a relaxing coffee break or catching up with friends.

What truly made the experience exceptional was the owner, Rafael. He is not only incredibly welcoming but also passionate about his craft. Rafael's attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the cafe, from the beautifully crafted drinks to the thoughtfully curated menu. The coffee is outstanding—rich, smooth, and brewed to perfection. The food offerings are just as impressive, with a great selection of fresh, delicious options that cater to all tastes.

Rafael went above and beyond to ensure that my visit was memorable, and it's clear that he genuinely cares about his customers. His dedication to quality and service shines through, making Cafe Orso a must-visit spot in North Vancouver. I can't wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional...

Do NOT go to this coffee place. - July 20, 2022

Based on the reviews, I drove all the way from SFU Burnaby Mountain to Deep Cove to invite a guest I have now in Vancouver to have one of the "best places for breakfast!" LOL!... BIG MISTAKE!

1- food took FOREVER to be ready. I was served and then needed to wait about 15 min for my friend's meal... 2- poached eggs were cold (my plate) 3- my friend asked for 2 poached eggs: got 1 with the meal, and the 2nd one when she was about to finish. 4- coffees were cold too 5- service was just whatever! 6- bathroom didn't look clean at all. 7- water wasn't fresh. it was a room temperature during this hot day. 8- parking was a nightmare... 9- OVERPRICED! I paid $52 for the avocado and toast with eggs (really bad, not salt at all), my friend just had 2 eggs, bacon and avocado. 1 americano coffee and 1 cappuccino.

My experience here was PATHETIC!

If you feel like wasting your money and time (because we had to wait forever for our meals), this is the right...

In September 2017, we moved to North Vancouver and discovered this beautiful little cafe. The customer service was exceptional, and the food quality was amazing. We ordered a European breakfast and were given huge mound of strawberries, exotic meat, and real aged cheese (which paired well with the meat).

In April 2018, there has been a change in the customer service. No longer are we treated as valued customers (even though we have been coming here every weekend for the last 6 months). We order the same European breakfast. The waffles aren’t caramelized as they were every other time we visited. The mound of strawberries has turned into a flat spread of maybe 10 pieces. The cheese and meat is unimaginative.

As much as I hate to say, we recognize there has been a cultural change in management. We are no longer valued customers but just another dollar. We wouldn’t be surprised if there was a rise in prices soon - changes in the menu.

Cafe Orso, we miss you. But we will not frequent...

After a morning of skiing at Mount Seymour, I somehow managed to find a parking spot near Café Orso, a minor miracle, really, given that Deep Cove’s parking situation often feels like an extreme sport of its own. Stepping inside, the café is instantly inviting. The high ceilings and warm decor make it the perfect place to unwind, defrost, and pretend I’m the kind of person who regularly enjoys peaceful mornings with a good book and an oat milk latte. The atmosphere is relaxed, the kind that makes you want to stay longer than you intended, assuming, of course, you don’t have to move your car in 30 minutes. There’s a solid selection of coffee and bites, all well-executed and satisfying. No complaints except perhaps that I didn’t order more. A great spot to refuel, reflect on the day’s ski runs, and enjoy the smug satisfaction of having found a parking space before the crowds descended.

During a recent coffee break, I visited here and ordered their carrot cake along with a freshly brewed coffee and a lavender coffee. The experience was pleasant, albeit average in terms of taste. Let's start with the positives: the customer service was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure I had everything I needed promptly. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a comfortable spot to unwind or catch up with friends. As for the food and drinks, while they were decent, they didn't quite stand out. The carrot cake was moist but lacked the depth of flavor I expected. The freshly brewed coffee was good, though not particularly memorable. The lavender coffee had a subtle floral note, which was interesting but didn't wow me.

Had breakfast here with my husband. He ordered the waffles with salted caramel, and I opted for the featured items: half an avocado toast plus tomato soup. The food and options were average. The waffles were dry and tasted like they were pre-packaged. You can never go wrong with avocado toast, though! I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size - it was just right despite being labeled as half. I also enjoyed the oatmilk latte which was a highlight. The location and ambiance were pleasant, and the place was clean and aesthetic. Overall, its a good spot if you’re just looking for good coffee, but not the best choice for a full breakfast experience.
