I had a disappointing experience at this Sephora location. I visited with my 4-year-old daughter, who was cranky due to being tired. From the moment we entered, I felt unwelcome by an employee named Ari, whose tone and attitude felt cold and unfriendly. When my daughter touched a few testers, despite my efforts to stop her, the way Ari approached and addressed me was very rude and came across more like an order than a polite request.
I tried to share my concern with a staff member at the cashier, but instead of listening, she became defensive. I also felt that I was being treated differently than other customers, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I donāt take such accusations lightly, but based on how I was treated and after reading a similar review from someone of my background, I felt there might be a pattern.
Thankfully, a manager named Faith stepped in and handled the situation with care and professionalism, which I truly appreciated. The lady first pulled it up and asked me specifically if I had card ending in āxxxxā , I told her, showed her the physical card. She then changed up her approach, felt as if she accused me of something wrong, saying she couldnāt find the card number, etc but she just spoke it out to me⦠And then she asked me why all the items werenāt with me. I only wanted to return two products out of the entire purchase I made. I felt as if she was accusing me or treating me as if I was doing something wrong. Definitely a terrible experience and feeling. She ended up taking the return. But I do not believe I was treated kindly or with respect. So disappointing that as a POC woman we get profiled by other POC because of the way Sephora trains their staff. I have been struggling to find a new tinted moisturizer and thatās the only reason why I did my returns. The products sucked. Anyways do not recommend this location.
