Edo Japan — Restaurant in The Meadows

Currently Eating the Hawaiian chicken with added beef.... Normally I would never go out of my way to write a review, this case I had to. The lady at the front who greeted me got to the counter and you could just tell she hated her job... "what do you want" she mumbles.. so I tell her... so on n so forth.. Im standing there waiting for my food watching them, I ordered no veggies on it and I see them adding something that shouldn't.. They one lady in the back helping the new guy make my meal looks at him and you can tell they are talking about something they did wong.. Keep in mind they aren't speaking English but body language and general notions can be read.. Anyways, the lady who original lady who took my order with the terrible attitude, walks back there possibly after hearing the commotion. They look at her, and say something. She says something back that I obviously couldn't understand but looked like she said "what ever who cares".....That made me check my food, assuming that something was wrong. At first glance inspecting my food, as they are all looking at me and me not trying to be rude.. It all looked fine. So I leave.. I get back to work, and all that stuff was hidden underneath!! mushrooms n other bits of green stuff lol..... And the meat was so crispy it was ridiculous... WORST EDO IN THE SOUTH BY A MILE!! DONT GO HERE AND SPEND YOUR MONEY.... I am currently on my way back...

This restaurant is one of the very best out there for many reasons. The food is good, mostly healthy and has good portion sizes. It also offers a kid's menu! The customer service is amazing! They treat their customers with respect and will politely request your patience if they can't help you right away. Unlike 98% of businesses of late. They could care less if you come back, obviously you'll never tell your friends and there is an endless supply of customers. TELUS thought that same thing until they no longer had the monopoly and more than half the customers bailed and went to Shaw, a d a few other better businesses.

Anyway, I've only had one negative incident where the lid wasn't closed properly and they graciously replaced it at no cost to me!

Ordered the food on my cell phone. Thought we should give something different a try. Was pleased with the fact that they had various types of sushi that didn't include raw fish. They were small and delicate as well as delicious. My curry chicken rice bowl was scrumptious. My husband was really satisfied with his bowl of rice because he just had all his teeth pulled. To gummy it was like a feast and easy on the gums. Initially they made a mistake with the plain rice side order and it wasn't in the bag. I called Edo Japan and they arranged to correct the error. They also added some more complimentary sushi for our trouble. Great customer service. The website is a little difficult to navigate. Could use some work. Would order food...
