I have never experienced such terrible service. I’ve been to this location twice and will never return. I live less than a minute from this location but will be driving the 20 minutes to the next-closest location. My first visit a few days ago was awful. They ran out of rice and instead of saying so, she scraped the tiniest bit of dried up rice out of the bottom of the container and put it on my burrito. When I ate my burrito, some of the rice was so hard it actually hurt my teeth. It was as hard and dried out as uncooked rice. I hate to say it, but the lady working seemed absolutely clueless. It was painful to order. She even had to come around the counter to look at the sauce on the sign I was talking about. I hope she was just new, in which case I can give her a break.
I decided to give Mucho Burrito a second chance today. The lady working was just as clueless (for lack of a better term) as a few days ago. I asked for beef barbacao, but she started putting beef brisket on my burrito instead. When I corrected her, she insisted that it was indeed barbarcoa (it absolutely was not - I can confirm after eating it). Once again, she had no idea what the “poblano avocado crema” was, so she confusingly looked at me and said “we don’t have that” even though it was on the sign on the display case, so I had to get a different sauce.
The service is REALLY lacking. I felt like an inconvenience. They don’t listen to you whatsoever. They ask the same questions over and over when already clarified. They don’t seem like they care about the quality of the food. It’s quite unfortunate that I’ll have to go elsewhere even though this location is so close. I NEVER leave reviews, but I felt compelled to do so after my two negative...
Read moreDecember 2020- Sorry can't reveal my personal info here. If you want to explain or make this right mention an email address to contact. I will change this to 5 stars If I can get 5 consistent quality meals purchases from this location u don't even need to contact me just train your staff. I went again first week of December and the same thing happened again. When I asked the employee. It was confessed to me that employee only had 9 hrs of training and it was not enough for them. The person was by themselves, also opened the store 10 minutes late struggling to get things moving. Employee wasn't sure about toppings what was included and what was free. It was frustrating as a customer that it's owner's job to train them properly. It is a pattern since 2017 and should be escalated to the head office. Employees should be properly trained about exact consistent quantities so customers don't have to ask for less or more toppings. Simple as that.
November 2020 update-Gave this place a chance again. One day was alright next day same thing out of toppings, inconsistent quantities. Don't think they care. Back to the downtown location. I wish I could give them negative stars
2017- Burritos are not upto Company standards Quantity wise especially meat, chicken and all the premium components. YES u can have rice and beans all u want but I am not here to eat only rice and beans for 10 bucks. Note to Owner- Please stop cheaping out other wise you will loose customers more than you trying to save on food. People u want to try real mucho try 109/jasper location or outside northgate mall then u will know what I am talking...
Read moreBeing a regular customer of other Mucho Burrito locations, I have to say this was an all around awful experience. It all started when we were waiting in line and noticed cooked food sitting on a turned off grill as backup. It turns out the poor girl who was working there was all by herself. She had too much going on, and as she was warming up the burrito for the customer before us, she decided to try to prep our burritos out of the empty trays. There were no veggies ready, and the beef was completely dried out as though it had been sitting all day. There was also a spoonful of lumpy queso dip left in the silver container (I was absolutely appalled by what I saw). While helping us, she then forgot about the burrito for the customer ahead of us, which caused her to have to remake it as it was now burnt. Finally, after getting served with what old leftover toppings she could scrape together, we walked outside and peeked in the takeout bag to notice we only had one small queso dip even though we had paid for three servings. After going back in to complain, we were given a second small cup of dried, lumpy queso. Now, after getting home, we realized the three servings consisted of roughly ten tortilla chips. This is not a knock at the poor girl who clearly shouldn’t have been left on her own and had too much on her plate but more on the manager or owner for not being aware of the situation and understaffing the place. We will drive the extra few minutes to go to the Mucho Burrito at the Halton Hills...
