Part of the Tiger Dunlop trail. Free parking at the south end of the bridge- walk up the gravel path for a stunning view of the golf course on the right/east. Lots of birds. The bridge is amazing and there are some historical signs. On the left/west side, at the north end is a loop trail - no distance but I would say maybe 2km? It is mostly flat and easy to follow. It follows the river at first, so you can see (and hear) the salt mine facilitates. I thought it would bring us to a nice view of Lake Huron, but no. It’s all woods. There is an ancient oak tree with it’s story on a plaque. When you get back to the bridge you can continue north if desired.

This is one of the best of Goderich, historical bridge with a great view of the lake that runs through Goderich and amazing short hike. There are plenty of parking near the site, and the trail is always clean. Benches a long the way offers a nice place to sit for a coffee or a quick snack, and the people of Goderich are very pleasant and you will always be met with a warm greeting along other hikers on the trail. A must stop when in the Huron area for a family and pet friendly hike.

The Menesetung Bridge spans the Maitland River near its entry into Lake Huron, connecting the Town of Goderich and the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh. The seven-span steel and wood railway bridge was constructed between 1906 and 1907. Absolutely amazing view. Great place for a hike with a few trails to choose. There's ample free parking. Down the road is also a place to stop and have fish and chips.

One of the top places to visit when in Goderich. What a incredible view from the Menesetung Bridge. The Menesetung Bridge was the longest bridge in Ontario at the time of its construction and is a fine example of a typical Canadian Pacific Rail bridge. The seven spans each measure 104 feet in length and 12 feet in width, creating a total length of 750 feet. Parking is available at the base of the bridge.

It is a very scenic trail containing historic wooden bridge which was originally built for rail route in Godereach, Ontario. It’s construction started in 1905. It took two years to complete it in 1907. It is now a very pleasant trail and gives beautiful views of the river and surrounding areas. The Menesetung Bridge spans the Maitland River near its entry into Lake Huron in Goderich.
