I’ve attempted to sell items to this place 3 separate times. The first time I brought 3 bags of 0-12 month boy clothes, they took 3 swim items and told me they couldn’t take the rest as some of them were stained (I had already went through the clothes and threw out any clothes with any stains on them) and they didn’t need clothes in that size. No big deal. I called the second time for boys clothes 12-18 months to which they told me they were again overstocked and didn’t need them. The third time I called on two different days and spoke to two different employees to ask if they would take a couple sit and spins, a play pen and an unused diaper bag, they told me the playpen would need to have the safety sticker on it but that they were definitely interested as they knew the sit and spins would sell. I came into the store with these items only to be told they weren’t going to take any of it. They said that the sit and spins also needed safety stickers (was not told that on the phone by either associate but understandable), the play pen had minor staining but the worst one was that they couldn’t take the unused Lug diaper bag due to a small tear that could’ve been a safety concern. The tear in the diaper bag is smaller than my pinky fingernail and poses no safety risk as there’s no exposed metal, no hanging material nor any massive holes. The lady in front of me was able to sell her diaper bag. I do appreciate the associate helping me bring the items back to my car but this store seems like it’s only willing to take items from certain people and only wants clothes that are name brand, unused and essentially right off the shelf. Better off selling your own items or donating them to somewhere that actually takes in real...

As well, using the generic statement that they have worn out and/or stained items when that may not be the case.
I was impressed with this store in December. I bought many items here! However, I drove an hour into Halifax today, to sell and buy more items. When I arrived, everything was smooth! I gave them my small bag of items to sell (16-20), and within 20 minutes, I received a message that they were ready! I returned and was told they were only purchasing a handful of items. I was told the generic reasoning as to why they only bought those AT FIRST. Included in this, was the statement that some of my items had stains! Now, I know this may be the generic comment they say to everyone, but my items did NOT have stains on them. I was not impressed with that statement. I had only 16-20 items and hand picked them to sell. They rejected infant Levi jeans and other very nice clothing items. I was completely shocked to be honest. The woman at the counter saw my shocked reaction and then came clean that they were not really buying items sized 18 months and younger because they were overstocked. That the owner even has a house full of items. I wish I would have known that before I drove all the way there, and wasted my time. They didn’t even tell me before I dropped it off! It was an after the fact comment. Then, after being disappointed with the sale outcome, I went to buy 12 month old sleepers for my baby, and had to laugh. The 12 month old sleeper section was maybe a foot in width! I bought one sleeper. Extremely...
Read moreSo we went into this store As we thought it was a thrift store for kids I wanted to donate the clothes and stuff from Colton from what he grew out of. And how it was explained to me you donate clothes and they go through it and text you when they're done going through it and give you money for what you donate to them, and they put your donations on their rack and sell it for a higher price. So we go do our thing come back and I only got $7.00. I thought I was doing a great thing for a business and other families,...but the bigger lady that worked there made me feel horrible because she said my child's clothes were not high-end expensive clothes so they couldn't put it on the rack to re- sell because Walmart and other low brands isn't okay and told me that one of the things I was donating was dirty and full of stains and wasn't worthy when it was in perfect condition and washed, she said you might not want to take it to value village because there clothes at value village are disgusting and told me to take my donated stuff to mission Mart because that's where they would take it. Keep in mind she didn't tell me it had to be high end clothes nothing like that was clarified So she gave me my donated stuff back was quite rude to me talked down to me and belittled me and my donations and I will never be going there again they are rude, disrespectful and you have to have high end stuff to be respected there if not you will feel small and get talked down to and horrible gut wrenching feeling because your child's clothes isn't high end and not good enough for them and I'm just appalled and speechless how a business can make you and so many other people feel so small because you don't shop high-end....
