LAZER MANIA — Attraction in Hamilton

I am giving them a 3 Star rating because my daughter had fun and enjoyed herself. On the other note. I arrived at my reservation 20 minutes early so I could pay them and have enough to coordinate with the staff before the party started. However, I was waiting in line patiently and I guess the owner decided that they were going to cash out their friends or family first. So, I continued to wait patiently. A staff member called me over and I explained that I had a reservation. Then I was told I had to wait again. So, again I patiently waited. However, the 20 minutes early I tried to be there had pasted. When they finally got to me, it was 5 minutes past my reservation time and kids were arriving. I was then told we have to wait for them to clean the room. So, another 5 minutes pasted. By time we got into the room I had to rush and put my stuff down while all the kids were there. The guy that was trying to get the kids into play and the girl in charge of our room were really good. However, the wait time between each game could be coordinate and communicated better. I had to get my husband to ask when they would be going for the 2nd game. Which I understand that it's busy but it would help for my own time management. So, after we are done our second game we were told how long we have left. Which is fine but we didn't get into the room until 10 minutes past the time we were suppose to get in there. Then literally not even 5 minutes after the girl who was dealing with us another random worker comes to tell me we have to hurry up because we only 10 minutes. Which makes no sense because she wasn't dealing with our party in the first place. So, by right she couldve talked to the girl who was dealing with us. Instead of interrupting us in the process of doing gifts. They should figure out how to give themselves sometime between parties so they can clean and do whenever. Also, give people the extra time that they've taken away from the party time. I personally wouldn't book another party here but just come to play instead. We recently attended a 7-year-old’s birthday party at Laser Mania, and I strongly urge others to avoid this venue for young children’s events. The experience was incredibly upsetting, and it’s clear that this facility is not suited for hosting birthday parties for younger kids.

The group consisted of mostly six- and seven-year-olds, along with a couple of smaller children. While we understand that the very little ones may not be suited to participate in laser tag, the issue lies with how the older kids in the open session treated the group. This was not a private party but rather an open gym format, where the six- and seven-year-olds were paired with much older kids, including 13- and 14-year-olds.

The older kids deliberately targeted the younger ones, following them around, separating them from each other, and essentially bullying them throughout the games. Many of the younger children were left upset, crying, and unable to enjoy the party. It was heartbreaking to see them visibly shaken by the experience..

The lack of oversight by the staff made this even worse. There was no monitoring of the games to ensure fair play or age-appropriate groupings. Allowing teenagers to play alongside toddlers and younger children in the same session is a terrible decision that leads to situations like this.

Lazer Mania clearly doesn’t prioritize the safety or enjoyment of younger participants. If the venue is going to allow open sessions during booked parties, there should at least be strict age-based groupings or private games available to avoid this kind of imbalance. At the very least, the staff should actively supervise and intervene when bullying or unfair targeting happens.

Until Lazer Mania addresses these issues, I would highly recommend avoiding this place for any event involving younger children. This was an upsetting and distressing experience for the kids, and it’s unacceptable that a business marketed as a family-friendly venue would allow...

Dont waste your money on the Arcade!!!

We attended a birthday party here for a my sons class mate the party was good as we brought an active for the group but we were late because of traffic. My son missed one game of Lazer tag but they let both myself and my husband go in with our son to make up for the miss game and since our son is 5 and never been to Lazer tag before. That being said there were 6 birthday parties going on at once and sometimes there were 2 or 3 group of people from different parties mixed up instead of having a special time for each kids party to have a private game. I felt like the party it self was rushing because you get the room for like 1 hour 45 mins. The child didn't even get to open his gifts before the next party was being rushed in to the room.

Also the arcade games are half broken out of order or the tickets get jamed and we had to call on staff literally every other game we tried. I feel so sorry for the staff here having to work with such frustrating equipment that is constantly braking ever 2 mins. FYI they are hiring and I wonder why.

My son got some tokens from his friends party but as we are 80 and 90s kids we still enjoy arcade games our selfs so we spend 20$ on 80 tokens. Half the games are over priced and cost 4 tokens for a single play per game. From our 20$ in tokens we manage to get 666 tickets. When we went to get prizes OMG, a koosh bracelet was 500 tickets. A 3$ dollar store paint by number was 1000 tickets. Dollar store note pads from Valentines day and Easter the package you would get for giving out to a class that come 12 in a pack for like $2.50 were 100 tickets each.
