I was a customer for over a year but have become very disappointed with their customer service recently. If I have a longer meat order, the individual who is taking my order would have a cold attitude and act annoyed. Not sure why, this is their job to take any orders whether it’s short or long. I’ve been ignoring it for months, thinking it’s okay I’ll let it go. But a few weeks ago, I placed an order and this was the first time that we picked it up a couple of hours later due to other commitments, but we didn’t receive any phone call that our order is ready for pickup. Today I called them again to place another order and the individual who I spoke to was extremely rude and said he won’t take my phone orders from now until I actually show up because he had to throw away the meat from the last order I had made and he got in trouble by his boss. It was his mistake for not taking my number to let me know that my order is ready, and don’t they put the meat in the fridge? Even if I come later he should know himself to place the meat in the fridge until I come. It’s disappointing that he spoke to me in this manner when I’ve been a regular customer for some time. Just called Sarai Meat Shop instead and their customer service was excellent, plus the woman who took my order was making sure she had everything down in detail. Will be taking my orders from there now and I think everyone else should! Really disappointed with the rude customer...

“Terrible experience at Sameer Supermarket. I purchased a BBQ grill for $120, advertised with a cover. This was the second BBQ grill I bought from the store—the first one was damaged by rain and snow because it didn’t come with a cover. When I saw the grill with a cover advertised, I decided to buy it. However, when I opened the box, I found the cover was missing. The next day, I noticed the same grill being sold for $70. I didn’t demand the price difference; I only asked for the missing cover. Despite multiple visits and false promises, the issue was never resolved. On my final visit, someone claiming to be the owner treated me rudely and humiliatingly, sarcastically offering me $20 and asking me to leave. I told him to consider the $20 a tip for his staff and walked out. This store has awful management, no respect for customers, and even the staff are mistreated. Avoid this place—it’s a disgrace.”

Read moreReally convenient to have the market and restaurant together, since we can order takeout and get some shopping done while we wait! Polite and friendly staff at both locations.
RESTAURANT: Quite spacious and extremely generous portions.. there was a time when five of us ordered three meals, but still could not finish the food and had to take back leftovers! Love the chicken burger, which is a welcome change from the usual fast food joints!
MARKET: Great place for Middle Eastern and South Asian spices, condiments and other ethnic food items. Also conveniently located beside No Frills for regular groceries. We mostly buy our meat from here, which is of really good quality. A word of caution: the meat section closes an hour earlier (at 8:00 pm) than the market (at 9:00 pm), so if you want to buy meat, better go there before 8:00 pm!
Added bonus is the fact that it shares my name, so I can proudly call this "my store/restaurant"...
