Garden Kitchen — Restaurant in Hamilton

We stumbled across this pho place while going to Pizzahut. We came back the next day for the lunch special which was very good and great value, $11.50, for large pho, 2 spring rolls and a pop.We didn't see beef and chicken pho together in the pho selection. We asked if it is an option . The server said it would be no problem to make a pho with both those meats which was awesome that they were so accommodating. When the pho arrived it was piping hot and nice seasoned flavour to it. The meat was in thick slices and plenty of it! The rolls were delicious! We tried the mango bubble tea and it was so good! For $5 it is definitely worth it! The decor is modern with marble look accents all through the restaurant and bathrooms. The restaurant itself is huge with lots of tables for large parties. Beautiful place and great service and people!! We will be coming back here for sure!

UPDATE: Here again and ordered 3 large beef and chicken phos, 1 med chicken pho, spring rolls and fried wontons with pork/shrimp. Oh my goodness delicious!! The customer service is high quality! These people are very personable and caring. Honestly this experience is still wonderful!! See you soon! Don't change ever. You are really nice and honest people who puts the experience over the top!

Today 07/06/2022 We came back first time after covid. Well, we ordered 2XL and 1 medium bowls of pho beef/chicken. And they are still #1 tastiest pho in town! Delicious! Came here based on all the good Google reviews. Called and placed my order for pickup since the in room dining is closed for lockdown.

The lady/owner working the front desk was very friendly. I ordered a well done beef soup and while we were chatting I mentioned I loved the fatty beef. She told me that the well done beef I ordered was lean style and that the flank was the fatty style that I liked. She quickly offered to switch up my order for me to the flank even though it was already packed and ready to go. Definitely one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had.

If you are ordering for the first time here make sure you order the flank with your pho, the meet is very tender and flavourful. I ended up getting the mix, half well done and half flank.

Food was well packed I accidentally tipped the bag over a couple times while driving and luckily the soup never spilled.

Portion sizes and prices are better than almost all other pho joints in the area. A large here is about $10 where most other places its $12. And you still get the same amount of food as the places that charge $12. They also pack a good amount of toppings with the soup, the one thing I notice is alot of pho places always skimp on the green and white onions especially when you order to go. Pho #7 does not skimp on the onions !

The broth is rich in flavour and noodles abundant, but my favourite part would be how different the flank is made here. It comes in pretty thick fatty slices.

Will definitely be coming back, can't wait...

This was our first time here, I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! First the restaurant itself was extremely clean, very inviting colour palette and not at all cramped like many dinning rooms! The service was super quick and friendly. As for the food we started with chicken fresh rolls and they were definitely fresh, best in the city and they even gave us two peanut sauces which was a nice surprise. The Pho was the star of the show. The perfect beefy rich broth, thick noodles which I've never seen anywhere else in Hamilton, very generous with the meat portions and they were such tender cuts they almost melted in your mouth! Also worth noting is how sanitary they are, all the sauces have caps on them and the chopsticks aren't sitting in a dirty holder on the table, they are brought out wrapped in paper along with your Pho spoon that happens to have a hook on the end so it doesn't fall into your soup if you need to put it down for any reason!
