To put it simply: there's the park up above, where you park your car( if you drove )and the beach below. In between is what you do when you're there.
Located along Dallas road, Clover Point Park is a great place to just relax and take in the sights that only Victoria can offer: the Olympic Mountains to the south, across the rolling waves of the ocean.
It's truly breathtaking to see, a unique view unlike most any other in the world, where you might spot seals or whales at play just off the shore.
Speaking of shore, there's a vast length of beach to explore, with plenty of places to relax, though you'll want sun protection in the summertime as there's no shade. At Clover Point itself, the beach is about thirty feet down from the top of the park, but it's an easy climb at numerous points.
Events and festivals love the park. One of the best is the Victoria International Kite Festival that takes place in May of every year: the skies are FULL of kites of every description and colour imaginable! For the latest on what's going on, I suggest checking out one of Victoria's numerous Events pages or websites to see what's happening.
Or, just go down and enjoy the park: it's the perfect way to appreciate how lucky Victoria is to be so close to nature in...

Then take a nice walk through James Bay in as many places as you have energy for, ending at Barb's fish and chips on fisherman's warf. Anyone that's not from here will be able to get a much better feeling of how great Victoria is because there's many fun things you can do in between those key locations I gave that i didn't mention. You have to keep your eyes open and pay attention and find your own fun, it's a fantastic city, I love it and its only been my home for 18 years. One thing I do struggle with on a regular basis is knowing who local people are, with the exception of business employees I suppose, it's a very high percentage of tourists in the...
