We had an excellent stay in their 3 bedroom apartment for a few days. The 3rd bedroom was basically a converted closet with a single bed. However, my daughter found it intimate. The beds and beddings were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked a couple of meals. There were 3 different HVAC units within the apartment and they worked flawlessly. We tried 2 of the six food places within the building and they were good. It was right across a beach park and a short 5 mins walk to grocery, pharmacy and Tim Horton’s. Parking costs extra but we were able to find space at the busy parking lot at night. I had instructions to download an app and register about a week before checkin and received a digital key at 3pm on the day of checkin. We then found two key cards in the unit. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at The Shore. It didn’t have anything fancy like a swimming pool or a gym but it was new, quiet, convenient and, even with a hefty cleaning fee, a fair value.

5/5 the whole process from staying at the shore while our home was being renovated after a flood with my husband and cat. We stayed for just over 2 months with having to switch rooms twice due to extrending our stay and have only positive feedback. Great location, lots of restaurants and grocery store near by, the hotel has everything you need while away from home. Any issues we did have were resolved almost immediately. Tips::: would be bring a throw blanket for the couch as the material is not the most comfortable. Also for anyone staying there just park in the overflow 20 feet over don't fight with the tiny spots up front!

We stayed at the Shore for 3 nights and would highly recommend this place for families. The contactless and modern check in process was efficient, while response via text messages were quick and professional. Location can’t be beat. Across from Gyro park and great restaurants on the main floor of the building makes you not want to leave the area. Our family though really enjoyed the 3rd floor rooftop patio by the fire pit at night playing card and having laughs. When the lights went down this part of town was very peaceful - which was perfect for what we were looking for.

This is not a hotel per se. There is no desk, concierge etc available. Check-in was below optimum. We signed up for the app that is supposed to grant access to the doors via mobile phone, and sent the contact details as requested via text message, but the key never arrived to the app. After the guaranteed check-in time of 4pm had passed, we had to call (from a European phone) to inquire, and the agent hung up on us in the middle of the conversation. So we had to call two more times, as the second time only the voicemail responded. After the third call, we finally received the keys to the app. The flat with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and a living room was spacious, had an equipped kitchen, and offered very nice views as we were located on the 6th floor. However, the bedrooms offered no option of blackout curtains and the installed drop-down curtains were still letting in a lot of light. Additionally, the ventilation was very noisy even though the heating/cooling was turned off in the whole flat. Furthermore, we experienced a blackout of almost 7 hours without any information whatsoever. We didn't want to leave the room/building as all the locks are electronic, so we didn't know if we would be able to get back inside as long as the power is out. There was no power, warm water, or wifi. The Shore claimed that the blackout was caused by the power company and that it was outside of their influence, a claim which we could not verify via BC Hydro's website. Any request for compensation has not been granted, they didn't even bother to respond to the request for compensation, let alone to apologize for the inconvenience. Overall, I feel like the price tag of 860CAD for the flat for 2 nights was way over the top and the service level definitely did not meet our...

All in all ok, but a bit overrated in our opinion, maybe great for (party) groups. The location next to the lake is perfect and the adjacent beach park is very nice. The hotel is new, our room was very spacious and well equipped. The rooms were very clean. We had upfront a couple of chats with the staff who were very friendly and helped us with all our questions and organizing parking. By the way, the hotel is directly located at the beach park, but divided from it by a pretty busy street. You cannot really see the lake from the rooms, because of the trees in the beach park. Maybe it is even better to not book rooms with lake view, because of the terrace issues as described below. Some nice restaurants are in the same building. All in all the hotel was very functional and appeared a bit "soulless" (don't know how to put it better). Very annoying: We had a room with direct access to a very large hotel terrace for common use. The terrace is in the middle of the hotel and all rooms on the same floor have access to the terrace and it is open to all hotel guests. This means the terrace was busy and people could and did directly look into our rooms. On top of that, there are three heavily used barbeque grills on the terrace and the smell of them reached all rooms facing the terrace on all floors above the terrace (we had another room on the upper floor). How can you seriously plan such a thing? One night some guys played some loud drinking games on the terrace and noone could find sleep. As there is no staff at this time present, nobody cared...

Depends on your purpose whether you'll like this place or not.

If you're a big family, a dog-lover, or someone who will be staying for weeks, this place might make sense. The rooms are big, and the kitchens are a nice bonus. There however several annoyances and inconveniences.

Firstly, the electronic check in is ridiculous, especially if a third party booked your hotel for you. Takes forever and is very confusing. We were stuck outside for quite a while, on the phone trying to work out just how to get in.

The room was basically clean, but there was weird residue sprayed all over the inside of the bathroom door that wasn't cleaned, and they just supply a tiny tube each of shampoo and conditioner. There was also only 3 tissues left in the box in the room, so we had to buy shampoo, conditioner, and tissues the first night. The rooms themselves also have a lot of scuffs, dents, and scratches, though that doesn't really bother me.

No room service that we could see, so we used the same stuff for several nights. Never saw a staff member. Also, people would take their yappy dogs down the hallways at all hours, waking us up in the process. The sink and bath drains drained very slowly.

The common outdoor area looked cool, but we didn't use it. Parking a bit expensive. Also, while including kitchen stuff is great, some essential items seem to be missing. You can wash dishes but no dish rack. Frying pans but no spatulas. I understand you can't stock everything, but a few more basic items would...
