Everyone must think carefully before buying a BMW. I had an unpleasant experience. I bought two 2025 BMW X1 and X3 at once. After picking up the car, I found that there was noise in the cabin of the X3 when driving. After observing it for two weeks, I made an appointment for inspection at BMW Markham. Andrew Mak was responsible for handling it on April 16, 2025. I dropped off the car at BMW Markham Services that morning and went home. About an hour later, I received a notice from Andrew Mak that no noise was found and asked me to take the car back. I was really surprised. There was a loud squeaking noise in the car when driving. It should be from the shock absorber or the rear seat. I immediately returned to BMW Markham and took the initiative to ask Andrew Mak to sit in my car for an inspection. He heard the noise at the time but he said that the noise was not within the scope of maintenance. I was very surprised because this was a brand new 2025 X3, and it was a new car that had just been picked up for less than a month. Andrew Mak actually said that the noise was "Normal". This reply shocked me. I asked him why you said in the report that no noise was found, but now you say the noise is "Normal" without any inspection. Andrew Mak also gave many vulgar examples to shirk the claim that noise is not a problem. He also told me that he would not handle the noise problem for me. He said that because I paid more than a thousand dollars for PDI, it was charged by another branch, namely the BMW Toronto branch. Because I bought the car at the BMW Toronto branch, but my home is near the BMW Markham branch, so I chose to go to BMW Markham branch for analysis and service, but Andrew Mak actually told me to take the car back and return it to the BMW Toronto branch for follow-up. This is the first time I buy a BMW in Canada. I also have Lexus and Land Rover at home, and none of them have such problems. BMW actually has a strong noise problem on the latest model of X3, and the maintenance department told me that the noise is not within the scope of maintenance, which made me want to sell the two BMWs immediately. Andrew Mark said not to deal with or repair the noise anymore but I insisted that it had to be dealt with because my car had only been sold for less than a month. He then told me directly that he was not the one who collected the money from the PDI. This puzzled me because this was your internal problem, not mine. I felt how ridiculous and incompetent the handling method of BMW Markham...
Read more11/10 customer service. These guys are the best out there. they really set the bar high on customer service/satisfaction. firstly, Kelvin was amazing. i was looking to trade in my bmw for another bmw and he made sure all my needs were met. he went above and beyond from everything from trade-in expectations, test drive, and sitting down spending time to make sure we were leaving satisfied. we spent most of the day with him, about 5 hours, and he did not show any signs that he was getting annoyed with how long the process took for us reaching a deal. he also spent time to get to know a little bit about myself and my brother and had a great sense of humour. and after we left he contacted me again to make sure everything was meeting our requirements. next up was Vince, on pick up day, he too went above and beyond making sure we were satisfied with our new vehicle. he literally came outside when i arrived and greeted me and showed me that he really cared about me as a customer and went through the plan for the day, leaving me assured that i’m in good hands. He showed me my new car and walked me through the vehicle inside and out. he spent all of his time making sure i felt comfortable in my new car and really made me feel special. and boy this guy is one hell of a seller. he really convinced me and my brother to get warranty on the car. but unfortunately i couldn’t because of my budget. even then, he tried his best to drop the price so it could meet my requirements and i was really close to getting it because this guy really sold the idea of it and made sure we would be taken care of if anything went wrong with the car. he tried quite a few times to get us on warranty and he’s a real nice guy because i felt bad when i declined again and again. this guy will make sure you leave satisfied and i really appreciate that. both kelvin and vince showed patience and amazing customer service. me and my brother had a bad experience with marnello bmw and these guys just set the bar so high. i really recommend going to these guys next time you visit...
Read moreI am very disappointed with my second purchase at BMW Markham. Bought my X3 certified pre-Owned. I bought through the help with sales team and purchased there extra warranty that would cover any repair. This brought me trust and confidence to purchase the vehicle.
The electric starter broke down the next day I had purchased the vehicle. The warranty covered the fix but to my surprise I had to wait almost 2 months for the part to come in. BMW Markham doesn’t carry a vast stock of parts so I was left with no vehicle , I asked for a loaner and was declined due to that fact there was nothing available!
Now recently I have a new issue, the adaptive light on my headlight has burned out, I took the vehicle in for oil change and to get this fixed thinking it was a minor’s issue. To my surprise the headlight apparently has shortened out, meaning that now I have to replace the unit. BMW Markham informed me that the extended warranty won’t cover the headlight so it is under my pocket to change. The price also for this repair is 5300 plus tax.
I asked to be informed why the extended warranty won’t cover this fix, as per when I purchase the vehicle I was informed that everything would be covered and I trusted that statement. BMW made it seem that it was my mistake to believe such a thing!
As per the service advisor Andrew Mak I wasn’t able to get a clearer explanation to why the headlight shortened out, just a clear, things break! I don’t feel this very professional, first off to avoid this happening in the future, imagine changing another headlight, not very cheap. Also to get to the bottom of the problem to avoid it again. Apparently BMW states that these headlights should not break down, they are too last the life time of the vehicle, I digest that now I’m being charged more then 5 thousand for a headlight on almost a new vehicle that is still in the 80km.
Again not happy at all, so I recommend to pay extra attention with...
