Hot Yoga Markham — Attraction in Markham

I really can’t recommend Hot Yoga Markham enough. I was suffering for months with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome on my right side and sleep issues. I hadn’t been able to sleep well for months and one of my friends recommended I try yoga. I was honestly super skeptical that it would help in the slightest but I was so desperate for a solution I decided to give it a try. To my surprise all of the classes and the instructors are phenomenal (Leslie, Wenli and Iulia are the ones I have the most experience with and they are all beyond incredible). The class that really sold me was Iulia’s Thursday evening Deep Yin Stretch and Breathe. Like I said, I was really struggling with sleep waking up multiple times a night with feelings of discomfort and restlessness. It was so bad I had to take a leave of absence from work because I was sleeping so poorly and it was hard to function. I had seen so many doctors (GP, Neurologist, Chiropractor, RMT, Physio) tried so many medications but no one was able to provide me with a “lasting” solution to my sleep problem. After Iulia’s class I had the deepest longest sleep I’ve had in a long, long time (it felt like a miracle as this had been going on for so long). I honestly can’t remember the last time I slept so well. Iulia is an excellent instructor and so good at what she does. She has a healing energy and cultivates an environment that really helps you come back to yourself and become much more aware of the interrelationship between your body and your mind. I have been going consistently and feel better each and every time. If you have a lot of stress, difficulty with sleep, chronic pain issues you need to take this class. I guarantee you will not regret it. Overall Hot Yoga Markham is a phenomenal place and I’m so happy I discovered it. The studio Hot Yoga Markham is conveniently located at Wardon and Hwy 7 with plenty of underground parking. The studio is kept very clean, the bathroom/shower/change room is well supplied. There is beverage to purchase, yoga mat and towel to rent at a very reasonable price if you forget your own.

The classes The studio offers a variety of classes, at all levels, in addition to traditional hatha, vinyasa, power flow, ashtanga, yin and restorative, there are specialty classes, such as sculpting yoga , conditioning yoga, pilates, etc.

The instructors All of the instructors at Hot Yoga Markham are experienced and dedicated. They carefully choreograph each and every class they teach. They make them fun, challenging and effective whether working towards a peak pose, or focusing certain aspects of the body. The instructors take their time and effort to know their students. They often offer valuable tips/instructions at a personal level.

The yogis It feels like a big family at hot yoga Markham. The students, new or long time, regular or occasional, are all so kind and warm. many of us see each other at least five times a week.

The manager/owner I have nothing but deep gratitude towards this beautiful and strong (physically and mentally) lady who maintained the studio during difficult Covid time, retaine capable instructors, and make Hot Yoga Markham a truly safe, fun and happy...

I bought a Groupon to this studio in October 2018, and I absolutely loved it thus at the end of the Groupon I proceeded to buy another 25 classes on November 6, 2018 which did not have an expiry date. I took a long break from yoga due to my work schedule and when I returned on November 18, 2019 at this point I was told I had 22 classes left. When I attended a class on November 21, 2019 I was told I have 0 classes . The lady at the desk informed me new management took over and all the non-expiry classes had already expired, however if I paid $50 they would extend the expiry date to November 21, 2020. So I begrudgingly paid $50 as I wanted to continue the practice and I think the instructor are good. However later that night my girlfriend forwarded me an email indicating that all non-expiry classes would in fact expire on October 3, 2020...therefore I shouldn't have been asked to pay the additional $50 in the first place. When I showed this email to management the following day they had told me this email was incorrect and a mistake. I informed management that if this is in fact incorrect, they should send a follow up email to rectify the error to avoid confusion. The yoga instructors here are very good, but there are many gaps that occurred during the change in management which has caused much frustration...
