My experience with MB Markham Service is horrible they don't deserve even One Star....If you think MB has excellent services through their dealers network for diagnostic, repairs and fault identification? May be not as this Markham dealer has technicians with very poor knowledge on Hybrid Car repairs so as their service advisor (may be not all) but one I came across and Service Manager bigger Morxn ! what you can expect from staff?
I was completely ripped off with repair of here with my Hybrid Car. They replaced a parts which was not required to be replaced. I was telling them that I got it checked outside through other garage and there was ac compressor fault but they kept denying so it costed me ($10,600 part & Labour) but car didn’t start then finally they realized that and now they secretly replaced A/C compressor another $3,400 cost. Aalthough it supposedly to be free and covered by extended warranty by MBUSA&CANADA but they did not do it. This cost more than $14,000 it took more than a month- Ping-Pong emails, they have done A/c compressor repair under pretext of TESTING BUT STILL I PAY THEM. Heights of ignorance is NO estimate or NO authorization consent from me and still force me to pay to get my car back. I sent the previously replaced parts for independent bench test and report came was that parts was working fine. So it was their incompetence to properly diagnose for repair.
There was a MB-expert garage nearby they scanned using the same scanner as dealer has (XENTRY) they identified the original fault code in just 15 minutes which dealer took 1 week and charged $438 + $438 just to identify the same fault, this garage quoted me just $1,750 for repair A/c compressor in 2 days with MB-OEM parts-100% gauranteed repair, however I thought Dealer might cover this under extended warranty.
This location gives you early appointment only to rip you off as by now many customers might knows them. BEAWARE- ALL DEALERS ARE NOT TRUST WORTHY!!!! If there is responsible Owner-Manager to look at this review call me you have my details ...Including your service manager who gives deceptive advices on how to claim warranty from MB knowing fully it is wrong advice as MB has rejected it.
Mislead customers to claim cost from MB under warranty. Mine was US car but they should have told me from beginning but I have done big mistake towing my car to this Dealer's location as this was nearest. I wish I could have gone some where else....

I have copy of your XENTRY report ( $438 charged report is the same as one fault code P142600) - Isolation Insulation Resistence Fault - It was known when I brought car first time with scanned report from other garage - He charged SECOND Inspection charge $438 to concluded Hybrid control unit fault (No fault code was found - by Just checking at output terminals with multimeter..obviously these Hybridcars high voltage Battery management system works in isolation and shutoff completely, if any one part goes short - (even roadside garage knows this)hard to bellieve car has only 26,000 miles odometer clicks, Hybrid control unit cost $10,600 is at fault ( cost $2,800- in USA)... Your service advisor denied 10 times that AC Compressor is faulty on contraray he said working fine despite my insisting to recheck. When my US dealer inquired you informed them that you asked MB-Germany advise but did not provide any details. Finaly consented REPAIR upto here ONLY and belived that Hybrid control unit was fault ....But AC compressor I did not consented and it was done secretly. EXTD. WARRANTY DOCUMENT TO COVER AC COMPRESSOR REPAIR was given to your service advisor from 1st Day when I checked-in - Your Service advisor and Service Manager both were KNOWING IT BEFORE REPAIR later after repair they are trying to mislead me by giving deceptive advise to claim from MB USA. Read moreI don't normally write reviews because it takes time and I don't just want to write a run-of-the-mill review, so I draft everything, resulting in hours spent to make sure I covered everything, Google's review character limit also doesn't help. Despite that, I still felt the need to have my words out so people can have an opportunity to experience what I experienced.
A little background of myself, I have been a very long-term customer at Mercedes-Benz and specifically the Markham location. I started buying from this dealership, then given the consecutive positive experiences, I felt the need to recommend them to my family members, friends and relatives and they reported the same positive experiences. Personally, there was one time I purchased two vehicles in the same month and both experiences were great.
The positive experience doesn't end just at sales, their service department is phenomenal as well especially the manager Cornell going above and beyond working with a very frustrating noise issue with Mercedes Canada. Huge thumbs up to him and the shop foreman working with Mercedes-Benz Canada throughout this challenging process, shame on the brand lying and claiming it is normal to brush me off when I had many friends with same year and model that doesn't have this issue and the first replacements were still defective.
I almost lost faith in the brand and planned to leave to competitors but Cornell and the foreman restored my faith or very least, if there are issues with my future MBs I know I will be taken care of to my complete satisfaction.
Thumbs down to Mercedes-Benz, the manufacturer for having so many broken rear differentials. I am happy to report after numerous replacements, I finally have one that have no more weird noises and I had been enjoying the car much more since the repair half a month ago. This couldn't had happened if Cornell and the foreman didn't go above and beyond for customers like me.
I also want to mention Mercedes-Benz's transmissions are developed in house and is inherently badly tuned, it jerks, it hunts, it often gets confused but with the help of Cornell and the foreman performing software adaptations it is way better, it is still no PDK or ZF or Aisin but it is tons better, I didn't know it was possible for this MB transmission to be this smooth. My vehicle is a W205 C 43 but this experience is consistent with my C238 E 450 which I get to experience everyday and even my family member's W222 S-Class, an S-Class! Unbelievable and unacceptable. Not to mention the bad experience with MB's transmission tuning is consistent with my other sold MBs.
Last but not least, I also want to give a special shoutout to my SA, Alex which I had been servicing with since 2016. Every request is fulfilled to its fullest like do not wash vehicle, keep a sample of fluid/oil for me to do analysis, not to mention the amazingly prompt updates on the status. He never felt annoyed when I kept asking questions on the phone sometimes for half an hour when he had other customers' vehicles to service. He was patient and clarified everything. Although for only once had I serviced with Peter when Alex wasn't available I want to also thank SA Peter for the assistance this time.
Back to sales for a second, for some reason he left MB Markham but I have no need to worry because I believe I will be able to find a suitable replacement and I am looking forward to my next purchase here and servicing with...

I think it's been 2 years now that this dealership is now private and a lot has changed in this place. Service is absolutely garbage, communication is very poor in financial department and worst of all they try to squeeze you for as much as money they can. (Not sales but service and financial department)
The first incident I had was with the service department. The car was making a clicking noise, and it was loud and very annoying. I took it to the dealership in markham, and they even heard the noise and recorded the audio and told me "if they find no issues they be charging me 400$" and I agreed since there was clearly a problem. A day after mercedes puts a bill infront of me and tells me the car making a loud clicking noise is completely normal and it's a high pressure fuel pump (apparently defective later I found) And after talking to service manager and dealership manager they told me there is absolutely no issues and its normal for the car to have a loud clicking noise. I told them I'll never come back to mercedes after experiencing this type of service and scam. they had no problem losing a 20+ YEARS CUSTOMER.
HERE IS THE PART THAT SHOCKED ME MORE
Today my lease was up, and last week I spoke with the financial of benz canada directly (not private Benz finiancial) And they told me if I just make the payments directly I don't have to pay the extra fees in the dealership and safety I can do anywhere I want. Today financial calls me by the name viki and tells me the opposite and how I have to the safety in the dealership even if I buyout the car cash (clearly she was lying) After I bought the car I went to see viki (finiancial deparment private) since she had some paper work ready which I thought wasn't needed since I bought the car already but nevertheless, once we arrived there the price I paid benz canada directly was around 23k and mercedes dealership(private) was 26k and she was very mad that we did what we did and tried to find out who gave us the information and she was extremely rude about it... i even told her Mercedes Canada Financial gave us all the information we asked for. We got lucky to get out of their scam in the end of the lease. Me, my family, and whoever I know now would never ever deal with any Mercedes that are private. If I were benz Canada, I would get back this dealership from these people who are hurting the reputation of Mercedes Benz. It's too bad that so much has changed ever since they have gone private. I hope this helps alot honest people out there
An update! We were charged another 3500$ because of negligence of Mercedes Benz finiancial department (private) AVOID this dealership don't go through what we did with these scammers. It's also funny mercedes put a comment under my review saying that they want to talk to me lol I already talked to ur managers and wasted hours and hours of my time to tell me there is nothing can be done and now that I exposed your corruption as a private mercedes you want to waste more of my time?...
