While the atmosphere is good for a cafe, it's primarily due to the architecture of the building and its lighting. The customer service isn't great (with exception to one server, Samir, who is excellent!) where smiles are rare, the tone when being spoken to is monotonous, or rude, and/or the coffee is made lukewarm, or wrong. Also, the scheduled hours of operation is UNRELIABLE. While it states that Segovia Coffee Co. is open UNTIL 8pm all week on Google and on the website---when I actually come in, I'm often told there that the cafe will be closing at 7pm, an hour earlier. I HAVE COME OFTEN ENOUGH TO SEE THAT THIS HAPPENS QUITE OFTEN especially Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. When I ask as to why this is so, I'm given many different "excuses" like "it's not that busy" and yet, there are quite a few people in the cafe already sitting, or that the manager has decided to close early, or that customers aren't expected to come because it's "winter." One time, I actually went out of my way to come and I arrived at 7pm expecting that it would still be open until 8pm, and when I arrived, it was already closed, but the website and Google did not reflect that. I don't mind when an establishment must close early periodically. What I don't appreciate is that this is not communicated online. If this happens often enough that it's habitual, then the establishment should update Google and their website accordingly so potential customers can decide whether or not they want to be patrons of the place at the time instead of wasting their trips. Because of Segovia's unreliability in operation schedules, it's not only an inconvenience to me as a "regular" customer, but shows unprofessionalism as a business. I have witnessed customers come in 20 or 15 minutes before staff has decided to close because they expect to be there at least an hour more and it's unfortunate. I think if they knew, they would most likely take their business elsewhere. I suspect if this continues, they certainly will. My partner/husband and family will be taking our business to more reliable cafe spots...

I’ve been a regular at Segovia Cafe, usually appreciating their drinks and service. However, today’s visit left me quite disappointed. I ordered a 24 oz iced matcha latte, a drink I’ve had many times before. Unfortunately, what I received was barely recognizable as matcha— it was overwhelmingly milky, bland, and lacked any real flavor.
I politely asked the barista to fix it, expecting a simple correction. Instead, I was told I’d be charged extra. While the additional charge wasn’t substantial, it didn’t sit right with me. It’s not the customer’s responsibility to pay for a drink to be made correctly the first time. After all, I had already paid $8 for what turned out to be a mix of milk and water with barely a hint of matcha.
When I voiced my concerns, I was told it wasn’t the barista’s fault but rather the company’s recipe. This response felt dismissive and shifted the blame rather than addressing the issue. Whether it’s a recipe problem or a preparation mistake, I believe Segovia Cafe should hold itself to a higher standard, especially for loyal customers.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and considers revisiting either their recipes or their approach to customer service. I’d hate to see more regular or potential new customers walk away...

I don’t think this drink was ever on the menu, but when I went and asked for it they’d always just make it for me bc it was an easy drink just carbonated water and fruit syrup .When I went this time I noticed the staff were different and asked about the drink , they told me they don’t have that drink on the menu. I told them it wasn’t necessarily on the posted menu but before they’d just make it for me and I told them that I’ve had this drink multiple times before it’s basically a fizzy drink . the girl said she’s been working there for a year (sure 🙄) and has never heard of the drink (can’t be true because last year I had the drink multiple times ) I asked to speak with the other staff member because perhaps she’d know of the drink . She started smirking and slightly chuckling with her other co-worker as if I don’t know what I’m talking about …& was giving me attitude as if I shouldn’t have inquired ..for a drink I’d be paying for lol .customer service has gone down hill .
