We came here on a cold Saturday night in late October for a family dinner. I knew it had opened earlier in the year, and I pass it by on a regular basis, so we decided to finally check it out. Inside, it's spacious, well-lit, and nicely decorated. We were promptly seated and given our menus. I appreciated that the menu wasn't overly long. There are three pages back to front, which makes selecting dishes much easier. We ordered Won Ton soup and Mother-In-Law Dumplings as an appetizer. For mains, we ordered the Pepper Salt Trio, Three Earthly Treasures, Sweet and Sour Pork, and Pineapple Fried Rice. The food came out piping hot, and I noticed right away that everything was made fresh to order, presented very nicely. The dumplings in the Won Ton soup knocked it out of the park and were a huge step up from your typical sit-down place where the dumplings taste like freeze-dried. Another thing worth mentioning was how crispy the sweet and sour pork was, despite being doused in sauce. Most other places will serve it soggy, either because it's not fried well, or because it's been sitting under a warmer for a while. Finally, shout out to the chef for piping hot eggplant and potato in Three Earthly Treasures, which had just enough crunch and heat to add some variety to the dinner. Hands down the best Chinese restaurant in Brampton, and we will be back again. One final note though: During the colder months, an offer of complementary green tea would really seal the deal. This is pretty cliche with most sit-down places serving bland and tasteless tea and reusing the same pot throughout the day, but I think 9 Queen could really up their game by serving fresh, hot tea to their guests as the temperature drops.

A little hidden gem tucked away in the middle of Brampton. I had no expectation of this Chinese Restaurant. I actually thought it wouldn't be authentic. Lol. Boy was I wrong. When I was little, I once asked my mom what the purple thing is on the plate during dinner. Mom said it's eggplant. I made a face of disgust and never ate eggplants until a couple of years ago. Now I love it. And of course I had to order this dish called Three Earthly Treasures. Eggplants, potatoes and peppers. One of the best vegetarian dish I have tasted. I also ordered a lobster cooked in maggi sauce. And I ate it without trying to think about how much the bill will come to. But yup. In Brampton, you can get a pretty good lobster dish, for a price that I don't want to think about. Lol. I also ordered Pomelo lemon iced tea. It was a refreshing drink at $6. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. The restaurant is very pretty, and the staff is quick with their service. The price is not the cheapest, but the taste is really good. I would go again.

The worst Chinese food in the GTA. If you'd like to spend top dollars for surprise meat, this is for you. I ordered Roast Duck and BBQ Pork via UberEats. The receipt shows "BBQ Duck or Jadoo Chicken". I did not order chicken. They packed some Fried Chicken soaked in duck juice instead of Roast Duck. $19! I was surprised by how small the box was. In my experience, half a duck would take up 2 boxes. It's chicken, that's why it fits. The BBQ Pork is absolutely disgusting. It's brown and old, taste like month-old leftover. If your friend cooks like this, you wouldn't go to their house for dinner. In addition, they only packed 8 paper thin slices of pork and pat the bottom with soggy veggies. $14 After tax and tips, I paid $50 for the most disgusting meal of my life. It's not cheap, so I'm just so surprised by the low quality. It's so much worse than food court food. In the end, it's a scam to pack chicken instead of duck, soak it duck juice. You're giving Chinese restaurants a bad name. Stop serving surprise meat!

I was visiting the Brampton area with a friend, when I found this chinese restaurant by chance. Not really knowing the area, my expectation was not high as I was just dropping by for a simple + quick meal. The fact that they had a large number of vegetarian friendly dishes on their menu is what helped me pick them out among the rest, and it seemed like they had seemingly good reviews online for a safe bet. Upon entering, the place was luckily not busy at all due to the timing in the afternoon, and the decor looked new, stylish, and clean, so I was excited to try the place out with my guest.

At the door, we were awkwardly greeted by a young male with glasses (the only employee with glasses there), who then seated us with menus and gave us time to look things over. When we finished picking out what we wanted to eat and drink we called the same first waiter over to order. However, right off the bat he cut us off to ask if it was our first time at 9 Queen Cuisine, to which we answered yes, and he tried to advise us on how many orders we should ideally purchase to share (three). I truly don’t think anyone needs to be told how much to eat, so we just answered again yes, we were going to order three dishes already without that push, and continued to confirm our initial order + one drink.

He wrote down our order on a note pad and even read our items back to us for confirmation, in which I reconfirmed I wanted the dishes to be vegetarian. He went away to put in our order yet shortly returned to state the drink we ordered was actually sold out, so we picked out a different one no problem. The dietary restriction was remembered fortunately, however the last dish that came out was completely the wrong dish. I alerted a different male waiter who was nearby at the time, and he took the dish back to the kitchen to inquire.

In the meantime while our meal time was paused, while waiting for an update on the dish that needed correcting, I started to realized our drink never arrived considering at this point in time all three meals had been technically served. Not even water for the table in the least. With the place an open-space rectangle, I could see our initial waiter at the front behind the counter standing around not doing anything. Despite our long wait, I then saw cola cans being put on a serving tray with glasses, as in other people who arrived long after us were getting their drinks served instantly, before us. Again, after that was served, no one was getting our drink - I realized our drink was completely forgotten too.

The second waiter came back out with the right dish and a quick apology. I tried waiting a bit longer for the drink before alerting the restaurant, but it just didn’t come. I waved down the same second waiter to also advise him of the problem with the missing drink, to which he again apologized quickly on behalf of his colleague. He stated he could make it for us right now immediately, but after obtaining confirmation that the drink was not made at all and indeed forgotten, we decided to ask him to just cancel it and remove it from our bill. As we tried to continue our meal, the first waiter suddenly checked in on us to rudely ask: ‘everything alright?’. No apologies, no explanations for the complete drop in his service. The audacity of his arrogant behaviour was the last straw and what made us completely lose our appetite. We stopped eating, asked a third male waiter for three take out boxes and the bill, paid in full, and left quickly.

This restaurant’s owners needs to seriously consider extensively retraining their front staff, what a disservice not only to us as paying customers but to your new reputation, to have the low level of service not match your level of food quality. The female chef in the back that delivered our food initially was humbly friendly in fact, and the food was actually decent, we quite enjoyed it back at home, tasting fresh and healthy. Unfortunately, our visit just wasn’t good on this occasion, and it was enough to want to never return or recommend this...

TLDR: If you want terrible stomach issues after spending over 100 dollars, order from 9 Queen Chinese.

I'm not the type of person to write a scathing review for a restaurant because I often give the benefit of the doubt when it comes to an order that doesn't quite taste right. It just seems petty and a waste of time. But what occurred to my husband and I all of yesterday and today, led me to send my feedback because I feel like if you're spending 137 dollars through ubereats, the food shouldn't make you sick. My husband and I love various Asian cuisines and have our go to places for Thai, sushi, and Chinese etc. We loved ordering from 9 Queen as we found that their flavors and freshness was usually unmatched and have been loyal customers since 2020. We normally always got the General Tso, and the Almond Soo Guy. We expanded our orders over time and would also get the Sesame Beef, Chicken Balls, Orange Chicken and occasionally the Honey Garlic Sesame Chicken. I have also had the Mapo Tofu in the past and it was spicy, warm and comforting.

Yesterday we got more than usual in order to have left overs. We were wildly hungry as we hadn't had eaten much all day. We ordered the above dishes through ubereats as per usual. We right away noticed something off about the food upon opening. The sesame beef had an odd solidified dehydrated sauce that was hard and crystallized. Upon tasting we could taste pure sugar. We tried heating it up but the taste/texture remained. The beef also did not taste fresh. We were a bit disappointed but thought, "Its fine, its just one dish, normally this place is pretty on point".

We ordered 2! of the Almond Soo Guy. We loved it that much. Also tasted not fresh, like it had been sitting out forever, the chicken inside tasted turned, or like they used a different part. The outer layer which is normally light and crunchy was off in texture and tasted softer. Again lending to the possibility that this wasn't fresh. We were again, confused and disappointed but we were hungry so we continued. Unfortunately this trend continued with the other dishes, the Orange Chicken was okay, lacked any punchy orange flavour that it normally does. We couldn't tell the difference between it and the Peking Chicken that we ordered in terms of flavour

We sat at the dinner table discouraged, eating because we were starving. Normally when you're hungry as hell everything tastes good, but we couldn't enjoy it at all. At this point we were frustrated, we had spent a lot of money and having one dish taste off is one thing, but all of them? That's kind of ridiculous. We come from backgrounds where food has sometimes been scarce, we aren't the types to throw out food just because it doesn't good. So we continued to begrudgingly eat it a second time when we were hungry.

What has motivated me to write this lengthy review is the aftermath of the consumption. Within a few hours of eating we both started experiencing nausea and terrible stomach cramps. I used the bathroom and promptly fell asleep due to feeling sick, my husband couldn't sleep at all because he kept using the bathroom with stomach cramps. I woke up in the morning because of the worst stomach cramps I've experienced in a long time that kept me in the bathroom for an hour. My husband said he hadn't slept at all due to the nausea/cramping.

I won't go into further detail of how sick we have been. We both made a deal that the next time we order from somewhere and the food doesn't taste right, regardless of how much money we spend, we are NOT going to continue eating for the sake of not being wasteful.

Due to this experience, we can't order from here again. When it comes to the food industry, consistency is all you have. If the food doesnt taste good once AND makes you sick (let alone over 4 dishes in one order), then every time you're ordering food youre just spending money on a BET and HOPING the food is good as you have had it before. I'd rather go somewhere mediocre where I know I won't get sick and the food...

I placed an order Saturday June 15th (today) around 4pm for pickup, upon arrival (30 minutes later) I came to find my food wasn’t yet ready (despite Uber stating it was) and was told by one of the two girls that were working it would take about 10-15 minutes more. I left and came back after 10 minutes and stood waiting another 10 minutes as the two ladies working avoided me, one making direct eye contact with me and immediately looking away to take care of a customer who did not approach cash before me, leading me to flag one of them down and say “excuse me, when will my food be ready?” The girl said she will go check on my food. To my surprise instead of checking on my food I hear both workers in the kitchen laughing as the one I had just spoken to imitates me mockingly for asking for an update on my food that has taken over an hour at this point to be made while also saying “I’m not going back out there” so she can continue to avoid me while I stand and wait. I made sure they both know I heard them and was not tolerating their disrespect before leaving.

I have been ordering from 9 queen for a long time now, back when the kind old Chinese man was working cash. They have the best Chinese food in all of Brampton. I am beyond disappointment in the fact that they’d go and hire two mean girls that would rather stand in the kitchen and talk bad about you than to do their job and update you on your order. I only got an apology because they got caught but I’m positive this isn’t the first time they’ve done something like this and I don’t plan on ordering from 9 queen by myself or with friends and family as I usually would as long as those two work there.

For reference, the two girls were brown one wears a clip in her hair and the other one wears glasses and has a little bit...
