Streetsville Memorial Park in Mississauga is a pleasant community park located along the Credit River, offering a mix of open green space and natural scenery. The park features walking paths, picnic areas, and playgrounds, making it a popular spot for families, joggers, and anyone looking to relax outdoors. The trails follow the river, providing peaceful views and opportunities to spot local wildlife, especially during the warmer months.
The park is well maintained, with clean facilities and plenty of benches and shaded areas to sit and unwind. It’s a favourite destination for casual strolls, small gatherings, or quiet moments by the water. During community events or summer weekends, the park can be lively but still retains a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Parking is available nearby, and access to the main areas is easy and convenient. In the fall, the park becomes particularly scenic, with colourful trees lining the riverbanks. While not large compared to other city parks, Streetsville Memorial Park stands out for its charm and riverside setting. Overall, it offers a simple, peaceful space that captures the local neighbourhood’s character — a comfortable spot to enjoy nature without...
Read moreThis is a great neighbourhood park right beside the historic Streetsville Village. If you want to have a break and connect with nature, this is the right place to be. There is a small trail along the Credit River behind the community centre with lots of shade and benches to sit on.
There are other infrastructure nearby, including the community centre (outdoor swimming pool during the summer), baseball diamond, and soccer field just right across the bridge.
The only feedback I have is that the trail is too short and is disconnected from the rest of the trail system. The bridge connects to a small island (which is where the soccer field is), but it should not stop there. They can connect northward to Timothy Street Park so it forms a continuous path to River Grove...
Read moreAlways an experience of a life time coming here. The foods never bad nor the desserts are. Always fresh, delicious with nothing but the best. They do a really good job with their shakes-the whipped cream always nice and dense, along with the ice cream they use is top quality. In terms of savoury foods such as their hotdogs are just to die for especially if you like spicy sausages- as theirs are nice and long, the buns always big enough and soft with delicious melted cheese to top it all off with. The desserts are just as good especially the molten chocolate lava cake which also comes in white chocolate. They also carry pancakes and waffles. Alongside poutine and pizzas that are other savoury options that will blow...
