SMASH*IT RAGE ROOM — Attraction in Niagara Falls

1 star is for the great time we had! 1 star is all they get for the horrible customer service after the fact. Coming from the US to go here, I paid what was asked of us and did not realize until after that my 10% off for first time booking was not honored (Trying to figure out the currency exchange at 11:30pm was a struggle at that point). So, I emailed and asked for a refund back to my card and they promptly responded saying no. I asked why and again, quick to answer, they said they don’t know where the code came from so they would not refund any portion. They did try and tell me the next time they would give me 10% off. I told them I live 6 hours away and have no plans on being back in the area so I’d appreciate the refund and they still said no due to not accepting 3rd party codes. I screen recorded where I got the code from on their website and have sent about 3 emails to which none have gotten a response. Honestly comical that they were so quick to respond at first but now with proof of the code, they refuse to answer. They also were supposed to supply us with 2 cases of beer bottles (we chose the ultimate package) and only received one. I chose not to complain about that since we did have a fun time, but refusing to acknowledge any further emails and overcharge me and not refund it back is...

I was a bit nervous coming in to this experience cause I wasn’t sure what to expect but I had a really great time coming here! I have had quite the rough past few years and had a lot of pent up negative emotions I knew I needed to let out. I loved the diverse options for stuff to break, anything ranging from bottles to plates to electronics. They even had baseball bats and a crowbar, also markers so you can write out rants on the walls. 30 minutes initially didn’t sound like a lot going in to this but it was plentyyy of time lol I was exhausted by the end of it. They provide safety gear like glasses and gloves but definitely wear long sleeved pants and clothes like they suggest as even wearing long thick clothes I still managed to bruise my leg😭 lol which was my own fault something recoiled back at me - they allow you to play your own music which really adds to the experience and I like that you get to go into your own private room and don’t get watched, that was part of my concern initially like “do people have to watch me do this??” it really is a good way to let out your anger or frustrations in a healthy way as you’re not hurting anyone and by the time you finish, guarantee you’ll feel better despite being pooped physically. I had booked this rage room for a birthday celebration. I was quoted the price per person in advance for an hour in the rage room and an hour in the "party room". Upon arrival, each of my guests were charged extra money (About $10 each for 12 people). When I asked, this was the extra fee for the "party room". THE PARTY ROOM IS THEIR STORAGE ROOM. I actually asked if we were in the correct room, as it was the same space as all of their storage and staff were also walking through gathering materials. There was one table and pull out chairs haphazardly thrown around.

The actual rage room had nothing to break other than beer bottles. We were hoping for some furniture perhaps or dishes, but all that was provided was beer bottles with extra plates at additional cost.

Finally, the staff member hosting us was very unfriendly even sharing her discontentment at her shift hours. She did not welcome us or explain how the rage room works, leaving us to ask questions about the protective equipment and whether we could take pictures in our gear beforehand as we waited.

Overall, I was very disappointed and even apologized to my guests for their experience. 0/10...
