Go Bananas (North Vancouver) — Attraction in North Vancouver

I love this place and they have new management so this story though horrific was15 years ago so it was with the old management. I used to go there allllll the time . I lived downtown so I would travel across land and sea to get there . Lol busses and fairy . 🦋🙄. This is a true story you can ask for police report to prove authenticity if you don’t believe me as it’s real . So I had blond hair and brown eyes I’m French English and a quarter native . My son is mostly white with 10 per cent native . He is natural white blond hair with brown eyes . We don’t look that much apart . So we hadn’t been there for a month or so at the day of & we had a great time as usual as I love 💕 this place to go let my kid run around & play . I look quite young and in good shape so I don’t even know why this frigin young staff girl called the police 👮‍♀️ shortly after I left and told them I stole my own child 👧. I was walking down the mall and I heard my real Legal name being called so I turned and responded yes and it was the police who smiled and said ok it’s all good . The police told me they were responding to a call from one of the staff at go banana 🍌 who said my son was possibly stolen by me and I was not the mother . Lol . The police checked my idea and authenticity then me and her had a giggle and I was let go free . It was strange . We still go there and I bring other kids there and my son who is 19 brings our family kids there but was super bizarre to say the least . My son was a giant and I was so small so I heard that a lot but never in my wildest dreams would I think 🤔 that a staff person at a place I went to so much would sink that low . To be honest I felt like it was not a genuine call but just being harassed . First time going, It was nice looking and i did go through around in the play place but as i walked around inside there was literal little pools of barf around inside which was really gross we stayed for 2 hours and no one cleaned it, went to the washrooms and there sink literally wasn’t working at all i had to grab a water bottle from my bag to rise off the soap i put on my hands, bathroom door was always wide open for the public to see us changing our kids which the door should always be closed with tables literally right next to the bathroom doors, doors should always be closed, no paper towels and hand dryer didn’t even work, it was absolutely gross in there i wouldn’t go there, over priced for the children and only 3$ for adults?! it’s also very very small, even the play place was small, when there’s 3 parties happening there’s literally no space, really crowded, gets super hot and as i was in the (big) ball pit at the bottom left, as i was there i bent down to pick up some balls and i noticed some nasty smelling liquid and looked like some sort of mold was growing under the mats between the poles, but the staff there are really nice! nothing about the staff was wrong, they were very kind but they really hire more staff for everything i seen, i didn’t enjoy it but my kid did but i wouldn’t go there try a...

Despite calling ahead the NV location in advance (on Thursday, Nov. 9) to confirm their opening hours for Monday (Nov. 13), which was said to be 11am, no one showed up till Noon. A parent planning to set up for a birthday party was also told 11am and had to stand around with their cake for an hour.

What made it worse, and the trigger for this review, is that the young front desk employee, who now has to navigate frustrated parents, is directed to provide NO contact information (let alone even a name!!!) for the manager or district manager - which turns out to be the same person. In other words, there is no accountability for the scheduling error and/or misinformation being provided, no reporting mechanism; it’s truly bananas! When ever is the person managing the business, apparently responsible for the entire district, not actually responsible/available to connect with patrons??! Why is this young person being the gatekeeper for someone who is paid to be responsible for operations??
